"I first tried PROTEINHOUSE in Modesto and was blown away. But this location was not nearly as good. I paid extra for avocado on my salmon bowl and the amount they added was minuscule. So tiny. How can they charge for that?
I also paid extra for additional Thai peanut sauce, and there was just a drizzle on top. No extra side, none on the vegetables. Also the sauce was bad- it tasted like peanut honey sauce- far too sweet. It was nothing like I remembered from the other location.
And the salmon in the Build It bowl was burnt. I usually love a nice char, but the taste was truly bitter and overpowering, and ruined the whole bowl. The Cucumber Salad, was a little sad, minimal flavor and didn't seem fresh.
I still rated them "liked it" because the (Kids) Chocolate Monster Shake was really good and less sweet than expected. And because I believe in the concept of this place and want higher quality and healthier restaurant options. I hope this location can get it together because if I had another disappointing meal like this I would not return."

The Shanghai lumpia was especially disappointing in texture. Rather than having the crisp, delicate exterior I would expect, it was soft, somewhat soggy, and quite greasy. The adobo had potential, but the seasoning and oiliness made the flavors feel unbalanced.
Overall, the restaurant has a lot going for it, particularly the variety, reasonable pricing, portions, and friendly service. However, the execution of this particular order did not meet my expectations or personal preference for fresher, more balanced, and less oily food."

"The Giddy Up Melt - Combo was a pleasant surprise. Mainly because of the fried egg and bacon on the sandwhich which were not icluded in the description. Usually I don't care for bacon because most places give you limp, fatty pieces. This bacon was crisp and meaty; perfectly cooked. The burnt ends were wonderfully cooked, just wish there were more if them on the sandwhich. The bbq sauce was good, though I prefer mine less sweet, with at least a little heat. Overall the sandwich gets 2 thumbs up. The onion rings had just the right amount of crunch, however for the price of the combo, there could have been a few more pieces. The Melt Away is a little steep, but. the sandwiches are worth treating yourself a little."
