"I've ordered from here numerous times, staff is great, restaurant is always clean. Food is good, my favorite dish is their 40. Pineapple Fried Rice. After trying this in other states all over the country, this is the best I've had ! I recommend this spot."
"Absolutely delicious! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The Thai Massaman Curry was rich, creamy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The portion was generous, everything tasted fresh, and it was the kind of meal that leaves you wanting to order it again before you’ve even finished. 😋
The Mango Sticky Rice was the perfect ending. Sweet, refreshing mango paired with warm, creamy sticky rice made for such a good dessert.
Great quality, great flavor, and definitely worth trying. I’ll absolutely be ordering from Ban Bamboo again!"

"Just delicious and perfect for a hot day. Thought you had to go down to Chinatown to a restaurant like Penang to get this. Will def get again! The peanut sauce is the sweet kind I always looked for since going to Penang years ago and everyone else's seems to be just super hot. I did think the mango rice was going to be a rice dish and instead is more of a warm desert but still different and so good. The absolute only thing I would ask os for them to deshell the shrimp before putting in entrees, but also was so fresh. A+"
"We got three Currys:
the Massaman Curry was savory and incredibly comforting with the creaminess and peanut crunch. We went higher spice for the Green Curry and it was fantastic. The spice only enhances the overall flavor and freshness of the dish while not overpowering at all. The Panang Curry was my favorite! It plays super well with the Shrimp, and the mixture of vegetables were perfect. The portions may be the biggest selling point as they do not skimp and we enjoyed every bite."

"This place is a flavor bomb! The Drunken Noodles were the sticky with the perfect chew. The Ginger Chicken was nice. Simple vegetables in a ginger broth with hints of lemongrass and coriander. "Ordered the Pad Thai with chicken, red curry, crab rangoon puffs & their salad with chilli lime dressing. Food tasted very authentic & good size portion for the value.
I liked that the red curry had a generous amount of fresh bamboo, flavor had a perfect balance of curry & coconut milk. Pad Thai wasn't heavy on veggies, it had a good ratio of meat, noodles & vegetables but not too saucy. Crab Rangoon surprised me since the filling was yellow (added curry) but it was very tasty, not your traditional cream cheese crab rangoon. Salad was fresh, onions were a bit thick but I still ate it. I loved the balance of freshness & the flavorful dressing.
I would order all of these dishes again."

"Green Curry is delicious! Very flavorful, plenty of chicken, not too spicy. The Lemon Grass Noodle Soup is also very good and perfect for a cold day, but it did not have noodles in it. The broth was very good, though."
"I recently ordered from Lemon Thai while my son spent the night at CHOP, and I have mixed feelings about the experience.
First off, the food was very fresh, which is always a plus. The highlight for me was the Chicken Puff (Curry Puff) — it was delicious and came with duck sauce.
However, the Penang Curry was a letdown. It tasted watered down and really lacked the bold flavors I was hoping for. The chicken portion was decent, but it could definitely use more seasoning. The fried rice, on the other hand, was pretty good and saved the meal a bit.
Overall, I'd suggest the restaurant not cut corners on flavor. Freshness is great, but a punch of flavor is essential for a memorable meal. If you're in the area, it might be worth a try, but don’t expect fireworks."

"We got the Curried Chicken with Rice w. Onion and Sizzling Beef with Black Pepper. Both were very good and very filling. They tasted incredible and were still hot as hell. I only wish the Curried Chicken with Rice w. Onion was more spicy."
"I’ve been coming to Penang for years and used to be a frequent customer for both dine-in and takeout. It was always one of my favorite local restaurants, which makes it especially disappointing to say that my last two experiences (including today’s) have convinced me that the quality of both the food and service has declined significantly. Whether it’s due to new ownership, poor management, or a lack of staff training, something has clearly changed.
I placed a takeout order for 9 items and was quoted an estimated pickup time of 1 hour. That’s an unusually long wait, especially on a Tuesday at 4pm when the restaurant was nearly empty. When I arrived, there were only three occupied tables, making the wait even harder to understand.
The pickup experience was equally disappointing. A server pointed me toward the front counter, but no one was there. I stood waiting for nearly 5 minutes before someone finally came over, even though my food had already been packed and was sitting behind the counter.
The packaging showed a complete lack of care. While the individual containers were fine, the entire order was crammed into a single brown paper bag filled to the top, with containers sticking up near the handles. There was no way the bag could be carried safely without risking it tearing. I politely asked if they could split the order into two bags. Instead of helping, the employee gave me a dirty look, handed me an empty second bag after I had already paid, and told me to repack it myself. That should never be the customer’s responsibility. It should have been packaged properly from the start.
Unfortunately, the food has declined as well. The roti canai, which used to be one of my favorites, was a huge disappointment. The roti itself was rubbery, and the curry dipping sauce was so watered down that it lacked the rich flavor it was once known for. Other dishes also seemed noticeably smaller while prices have continued to increase. I understand inflation affects restaurants, but this felt more like cutting corners than simply adjusting prices.
What disappoints me most is that Penang used to stand out for both its food and hospitality. Now the customer service feels indifferent, the attention to detail is gone, and the food no longer justifies the prices.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but after two consistently poor experiences, I can no longer recommend this restaurant. It’s unfortunate to see a place that was once so reliable decline to this extent."

The $12 meal box Sesame Chicken over rice with spring rolls was a perfect size and great portion of chicken. Everything tasted great and will definitely be ordering from here again. I haven't had the 麻酱凉面 / Cold Sesame Noodles so I'll update the review after"
"Have been wanting to try Dim Sum Corner for some time. Proved to be very disappointing. The rice for everything was high and that was fine, but we were expecting a higher quality of Chinese food. It really was not. The dumplings we ordered didn't not look like they were advertised and they just looked and tasted like standard dumplings from any Chinese food restaurant. We thought they would be better since it is a "dim sum" restaurant. Also, no dumpling sauce? That was just odd. The other food we ordered was mediocre at best. Really disappointing for the amount of money we spent. Won't be ordering again. There are way better options in Roxborough/Manayunk."

"This store is the best! Door Dash delivered the wrong order to my house and did not do much to resolve this BUT THE RESTAUARNT itself resolve my issue and got me my correct order. The Drunken Noodles are AMAZING!"
"I always order the same dishes. But today was not usually i got as Papaya Salad with less dressing (almost dry) and its taste bitter. With the less dressing and salad was not mixed with dressing at all, the taste was bitter and bland. Its disappointed and waste money for $11 Papaya Salad being wasted."

"Always fantastic from here and piping hot. Prik King is the best in the city andPad See Ew has the perfect wide chewy pan-fried noodles with leaves of Chinese broccoli. They give good portions of your protein as well and ALWAYS follow my requests. Pad Thai, drunken noodles, spring rolls, and tom yum are also great."
"Amazing portion sizes for the Pad Kea Mao, very tasty didnt have a polultry flavor rather the basil and chili were present which was refreshing .The Hand Rolled Spring Roll (4 Pieces) were also good, it's hard to mess that up. Thai tea was also solid, not too sweet or bitter, just right. Glad I found this gem. Will be ordering here next time! "

"Absolutely the best Asian food around. Always fresh and delicious. Coco is amazing super sweet and always a pleasure. Try their steak udon my favorite. Bubble tea on point. Their ramen broth is by far the best tasting very savory and clean tasting.
Highly recommend for take out and eat in."
"I thought the food was delicious - especially the Chicken paid Thai - the flavor was incredible. The only downside was that there weren't many vegetables in the pad thai, only a couple shaved carrots. The sushi rolls were VERY small. I’ve never had sushi rolls that were that small before - it was kinda odd."

"While there weren't many shrimp in Pad Thai Shrimp, the flavour was delicious and I would highly recommend the dish, but for my taste would probably get a different protein. The Chicken Satay was among the best that I've had and the Autumn Rolls were bright and flavourful, the perfect earthiness of fall."
"This has been the best Thai I I've found since I moved to the area. The chicken satay was cooked perfectly and so flavorful with perfect char. The peanut sauce was also the best I've found because it had a slow build of flavor to a mild heat.
The tofu pad Thai was perfectly cooked and then we added some of the chicken satay (some pieces dipped in peanut sauce) to the tofu pad Thai.
Definitely have a line on hand or order extra because if you like citrus if you like citrus it adds the perfect touch. "

"This is place is GEM! The food is consistently FRESH, HIGH QUALITY and very TASTY. The portions are generous and everything is always so carefully packaged. I am so grateful that this place is right here in West Philly.
As a chronically ill person feeding myself can be a challenge sometimes. I often find myself starving and completely depleted of energy. But I don't want junk food that would make me feel even worse. These folks are angels in my opinion. They cook nutritious, tasty food and send it to my door. When I can afford it, I'm happy to pay for their unrelenting work and dedication to quality. Thank you!
I have tried many of their dishes and they are all stellar. I love that I can order their tasty Side of Hot Chicken Broth when I'm under the weather. The Thai Tom Yum Stir-fry is delicious, has lots of veggies, always cooked to perfection. The Roast Pork Banh Mi is sooo good. Right now I'm really enjoying their Combination Vermicelli Noodle Salad (Choice Protein & 2ct Spring Rolls) . I really like the Thai Iced Tea and Vietnamese Milk Coffee (Cà phê sữa) , some of the other beverages are a little sweet for me. Still great flavors tough.
I highly recommend giving this place a try."

"I wanted something that would tide me over for a late lunch but wouldnt fill me up too much and opted for the Seafood Tom Yum. Arrives super hot and looks great in the to go container. The broth is on point with the lemony spicy kick I needed on this cold rainy day. My only point of sadness is there were no utensils in the bag. "
"The Thai Papaya Salad taste bitter for the papaya green maybe was old not young green papaya. Like most used to any other restaurant. The size is also small served in small aluminium foil and the price is $9 like any other Thai resto will served in regular container for the same price. Too much lettuce than green papaya, so little dressing. "

"My food was very good! Arrived piping hot and the taste of everything was chefs kiss! The STRAWBERRY ICE TEA was also good as well! I love the portion sizes, especially the Honey Chipotle Salmon and how much sauce came on the Salmon. This was my first time ordering from them and I've always heard great things but I am extremely pleased with my food and will be ordering again in the near future!"
"MANGO LEMONADE lemonade was nasty and watered down strawberry lemonade is the best. "Pork Dumplings had a very good filling, flavorful and very nice ratio of filling to wrapper part. Beef chow fun is exactly what I was expecting; very delicious and did not disappoint! I do wish there was more of a sauce that came with it, but it's still delicious regardless!"
"The roast pork and duck dry and the duck roll was filled with gristle. $40 for a bowl of white rice, a few strips of dry duck and pork felt like a con job. I probably could have gotten better tasting food at a much better cost at the corner Chinese window. "
