"I had never heard of BurgerIM, but there it was, on the list of available options in my Door Dash app....and looking mighty delicious, i might add! The thing is, I'm originally from the "prairie Cajun" region of Louisiana, specifically a small town 87 miles west of the Red Stick named "Eunice"...where the average family has SOMEONE in it who cooks better than any of several of New Orleans' best "Cajun" restaurants put together.
Let's just face it: I'm a food snob! Especially if a restaurant deigns to put the label "Cajun" on an item on their menu. I can't lie: I'm buying it just to prove it's not "Cajun" at all, and blowing it down in a review like this one...BUT -
Today I met my match in BurgerIM. I don't know what the "IM" stands for, so I'll imagine it means, "It's Majestic", or maybe "It's Mouth-watering", because, well, IT IS! In the 10 years I've lived in Baton Rouge, this is the best meal I've had. I ordered "The Duo" and chose the Angus burger for both of them, to share with my fiancee, a foodie and trained chef from NOLA. I wanted to try the place out with something simple, just a good old hamburger, well done! I also ordered the "Cajun Shrimp Egg rolls". I've tried these "Cajunized" egg roll dishes from other places in the past, only to be sorely disappointed -AT BEST. But cher, these egg rolls are good, yeah!
The burger was exceptionally good, too! I can't wait to try some of their more complicated burgers! There's stuff on the menu I'll surely dream about trying!
My only criticism: the mayonnaise-based sauce given for dipping the egg rolls in is too heavy for it, and too plain. It needs something lighter. The good news: they're seriously delicious without it!
My fiancee agrees with my assessment: best take-out meal we've had in Baton Rouge - hands down!"

"Delicious! I was in bed all day with a cold or flu of some sort and this gave me the energy I needed! I got the 13. pho with chicken/ pho ga and 17. chicken thin noodle soup/ hu tieu ga . One had cinnamon and ginger in the broth which reminded me of a hot tea I drink when my throat is sore which it was today and it helped! I am a very picky eater so I was definitely scared to try a new spot but it was so worth it! "I ordered egg roll which had a good bit of lettuce, dipping sauce, shredded carrots and a little bit of noodles in the container. The egg rolls were nice and crispy and cut in halves. Amazing flavor. I also ordered Pho with rare steak and extra flank. It came with the broth in a separate container and it was good and hot, the meat, noodles, peppers and leafy greens were in a larger tub and bag combo. I just had to pour the broth into the larger container and dig in with the provided quantity chopsticks. The Pho was outstanding, delicious and fresh. I bet it is even better in person."

The hot and sour soup here has become my new favorite of its kind. So filling and a great spice balance. The mushrooms were also very plump and satisfying to bite into.
