The grains are bland but you need something bland in this salad to let the other ingredients shine through. The chicken is just decent, sometimes a bit dry but it has good char flavor. All of the ingredients shine in that they taste natural and are not trying to be covered up by excess sugar, salt, or oils. I love this salad so much I once tried to make it at home and I would recommend just buying it at roots- it's a lot of work and the payoff isn't as good.
