"Snow Crab Salad was small but flavorful. Crabstick Tempura (5 Pcs) they were half sticks. Cucumber Roll menu says crab meat but I didn't see or taste any. sushi was the size of a nickel. prices equal size of food. all was good"
"Steak was overcooked but still very tender and flavorful. Good Crab Rangoon if you like them on the sweeter side like I do. The miso soup didn't taste like miso. Not bad, just different. Iowa Roll was good quality for how little it cost. (D) Steak Bento was plenty of food. So happy there's a Japanese restaurant on the south side. I'll be ordering from here again!"

"This was so, so good! The Shrimp Rangoons are stuffed full of cream cheese, not dry like other places. The Spicy Kimchi Ramen Pork was absolutely delicious, though I'd probably only rate it a 2/5 for spiciness. The Crab Cheese Mango Roll was very fresh and the flavor was great. I'll definitely be eating here again!"
"Beef Kimchi Fried Rice was well spiced, but I expected a larger amount of beef for the $18 cost, and the Korean Fried Chicken was really dry, but it was nice and crispy. the sauce was very good as well."

"I love Akebono! The last time I ordered it, it wasn't great but I gave it another try because I'd had so many good experiences before. Tonight everything was perfect. The Philly Roll was fresh and plump, the Compressor Roll was saucy, the Pork Dumplings were tasty if a little salty and the Oh Snap Roll was something I hadn't had before but will definitely get again. "
"I thought the Crispy Rolls and Dynamite Mussels would be better especially when you're paying around $13 for only four of them. They changed something about the Akebono Edamame and it wasn't as good as usual. The miso soup was good and the malibu crunch roll was decent enough."

The food was excellent! The portions were excellent! Tha value was excellent !
I ordered three things because I was a hungry

I ordered a med bowl of soup that was filled so generously I didn't want it to end. I savored every bite! Yes, I will order again and again assuming the portion size, freshness, temperature and other factors are consistent. Delish!"

"Rolls are very small compared to other restaurants, Godzilla Roll we for sure thought would be bigger and enough for a meal but it wasnt. Portions were more of a snack size, Crabmeat Salad was quite small as well. Food was fresh and good just not worth the price when DoorDashed better picked up from store to avoid fees. "

"I got the thriller and lion king roll, both were disappointing in size for the price, especially compared to other places. The side of spicy mayo was not even half full. "This place will wow you! The flavor, portions and price were all perfect. The General Tsao's Chicken is not as sweet and syrupy as you get at other places. It's also fried hard. Both of those were pluses for me. Most people can probably tolerate a 3 spice level. I prefer the 4. Every element of the Combination Fried Rice was well prepared. The beef was not that gray chewy stuff you get other places. It was beautifully seared and flavorful. The shrimp were larger than average and not overcooked. They were well seasoned too. "Best Chinese food in the metro! Was devastated when Shang Yuen switched ownership but so happy the family recipes live on through Heavenly! The beef is so tender! The chicken so crispy! The rice so fluffy! Deep, well balanced flavors. Everything we've had has been so delicious and we have high standards for Asian food being an Asian household.
Food ALWAYS arrives hot and fresh and well packaged! Cannot recommend enough!"

"Ok, this place is beyond awesome! Small menu equals excellent food! The chicken was perfection and those fries, dear lord!! The pricing is surprisingly cheap and the portions are good size!

"This was my first order from this restaurant. I tried the Shrimp Pancakes . It is a full meal and very tasty. I ate it all in one go it was so good. Since it was listed in the small bites section, I also ordered the Shrimp Chips . I really couldn't taste the Shrimp, but they were a lovely texture and tasty. I will be back for sure."
"The food was SO GOOD!! Literally everything! We got the Beef Bulgogi with Beef Bulgogi with Rice, Curry Puff (1pc), Egg Tarts, and the Shrimp Pancakes. We were floored! "I've been wanting to try this restaurant since it opened. Amazing flavors. Great portion sizes. So fresh. Soy garlic chicken Wings phenomenal. Mexican Korean Street Corn great flavor. Korean Cucumber Salad nice crunch and flavor. I'll tell all my friends about this place, and will order many times over."
"Having had Korean Fried Chicken in Seoul, Bonchon has knocked it out of the park! The Drumsticks were crispy, mouth watering spicy and oh so delicious. The Sotteok Sotteok was a perfect balance of sweet and spicy, and the glaze in the rice cakes just added to the experience. The Kimchi is mild enough for those that don't like a lot of spice bit still has plenty of flavor. Definitely will be ordering from Bonchon again!"

"My girlfriend and I tried this place for the first time tonight and the highest compliment that I can give it is. we're already looking forward to ordering it again. I would most highly recommend the wings (which have the perfect level of crunch), the cheese balls which are slightly sweet, and the French fries which have a really unique seasoning. Everything that we tasted on the menu was delicious though! Food arrived hot and fresh! Combo (Wings & Drums) Korean Cheese Ball Seasoned Fries"
"First time trying and wings are delicious! very nice crunch on the outside, inside cooked perfectly. I got the soy garlic - excellent flavor. I wish I had a side of it as a sauce to dip in. Also did not realize that by the size small: 4 wings, 2 drums - that it was two regular size legs, nice surprise! will order again "

"Loved the flavor. There should be more meat, there was only 5 bite size beef pieces, And I was charged extra for beef. Otherwise I did order a lunch portion but was still very large! 4 stars only because of meat amount."
"Peanut noodles medium spice. Sauce on top of noodles that was not enough to coat all the noodles when mixed. I selected
Tofu for the protein and there were 5 pieces. Only a few veggies. So, essentially it was a bland bowl of plain noodles with a little heat (spice) to it. Overly priced for what was received. I rarely give poor reviews. I'm giving it 3 starts because it was hot and freshly made and restaurants cannot always be perfect . Hopefully, this review is noted and improve upon this dish for other customers."

"We recently ordered from 30Hop and had the best meal! Our food arrived exactly as we ordered it and looked even better than the pictures. The Salmon Zen Bowl was one of the best rice bowls I've ever had with a large piece of well seasoned salmon and full of many different fresh veggies. The sandwiches were cooked to perfection and loaded with fresh ingredients. The portions were definitely more than we could eat and tasted great the next day. We can't wait to order from 30Hop again and try more of their amazing food! A great location and a must visit if you are in Ankeny!"
"First time customer, and unfortunately, more of the items I ordered were disappointing than enjoyable.
The Wings: Boneless was easily the best item. I actually ended up using it as the protein for the noodle dish because the crispy chicken that came with the Yakisoba Bowl had a strange texture and wasn’t enjoyable. I’m glad I ordered the boneless wings because they gave me an alternative.
The Truffle Fries were also disappointing. You could smell a slight hint of truffle oil, and you could clearly see the cheese on top, but there was very little flavor overall. They tasted bland and didn’t resemble the truffle fries I’ve had elsewhere.
The Very Berry Salad was another miss. The yogurt based dressing (I’m assuming that’s what it was) was extremely sweet. At first, I honestly thought it was a diluted icing because it was that sweet. I couldn’t eat it. The balsamic that came with it was also extremely thick, almost like a paste or molasses. It just didn’t feel appropriate for a lighter salad with fruit. The dressing should complement the dish rather than overpower it.
Unfortunately, overall, this was not a successful purchase, and I wouldn’t order from here again.
One other thing worth mentioning: there was plenty of room in my bag to properly secure it with staples or tape. It’s always disappointing when a restaurant misses that simple opportunity to provide an additional layer of security and reassurance that the order hasn’t been tampered with. Staples and a stapler are inexpensive, so this seems like an easy step that could improve the customer experience."

"Always love getting the Dinner Grill Meal! Arrives hot and fresh like literally off the grill! Always delicious and never a complaint! Serving size is perfect! Hu Hot is delicious!"
"I've ordered from here a few times, and I think from now on, I will only go in person. (1) When you ask for chew mein as a topping, don't expect to get "3" of anything. I bet I had 15 pieces of crunchy noodles. I always get the same for 3 as for 1 serving. I asked for "2" of the water chestnuts (you can pick 8 items). I might have 2 partial water chestnuts in the entire container. Asked for "2" of the bamboo shoots- I have zero. My styrofoam to go container was about 1/3 full. Almost no meat in it. It's been not great at times, but this is by far the worst meal I've ever received. It's so weird that it tastes like nothing but celery and peppers... you can't tell there is anything else in it. Just- not good. I won't be dashing it again.
I did order the chicken strips and fries, and those were good, but definitely not enough ketchup in the little cup for everything.
The crab rangoons were good, but again- one cup of sauce for 7 rangoons? The cup is 2 tablespoons. Come on.
I feel like I got $7 worth of edible food for $50. :-("

"my first visit to this restaurant and I was flabbergasted! it was great for the price! Taste was wonderful... I have to say best egg roll ever!"
"Food quality? Mediocre. Ordered two bowl combos, one sesame, one orange. When we went to grab our food, we realized that both bowls were the exact same, and we couldn't tell what the sauce tasted like. Zero sesame seeds, and not a hint of any orange flavoring.
As for the portion sizes, if you're going to charge out the wazoo for your food, at least give people enough food to make sure they're full.
The Bao was probably the best part of the entire meal, and I'm fairly certain they come frozen.
Don't waste your money, get literally anything else besides this place."
