"Dahi Puri came with the dahi filled in puris. This made them soggy and a mush by the time it was delivered. I would suggest the restaurant send dahi in a separate container/packet.
Mixed Veg Tikka Masala was extremely bland. Don't think they even added salt to it. I had to add some salt and chili powder, heat it up again and then eat it."

"I recently tried the Ghee Karam Idly at Vintage Kitchen, and it was a delightful experience. The idlis were soft, fluffy, and served piping hot, generously drizzled with aromatic ghee that elevated the flavor. The karam (spicy podi) had just the right amount of heat — not overpowering, but enough to wake up your taste buds.
What impressed me most was the balance between spice and richness, making each bite feel indulgent yet comforting. The accompanying chutneys were fresh and paired well with the dish. Service was prompt and polite, and the packaging (for takeaway) kept the idly intact and warm.
Definitely a must-try if you're craving a traditional South Indian breakfast with a bit of a spicy kick."
"As a Karachi girl, biryani is half my personality. I was craving it at 11 pm on a weekday. That too with an ice cold coke. I was completely stunned at how good it was. Warm and fresh and fragrant. the raita was spiced perfectly. It was exactly what I needed to end the night. And yes I would over it again and again. And this is enough for 3 people! So super affordable in that regard."

"Savory Palak Paneer with roasted finish to Paneer pieces, stewed to perfection eggplant in Baingan Bharta and smooth creamy sauce for the Paneer Tikka. Flaky and fluffy flatbreads were the best for the Parota (2 pcs). I enjoyed the full flavor but mild spices. Delicious."
"I usually love ordering from here! There's plenty of options and good stuff of the menu. I usually get the goat Tikka Masala and usually it's the perfect ratio of meat to sauce. Medium spice is perfect a little tingle but not bad. Although, the two previous times I ordered there was WAY too many bones. Usually theres a couple meat pieces with small bones and the rest is medium-large meat pieces. This time was almost all bones with little to no meat. With the upcharge for the meat and the previous plentiful amount this had me very disappointed. Hope this changes soon.
The Parota (2 pcs) was great and fluffy. The Mango Lassi was awesome and flavor. "

"We ate at this restaurant and were treated so well. Delicious recommendations were made to us by the waiter, and the food was excellent! Ordering now on doordash because it is some of the best Indian food we've had in the area. The chicken 65 was especially tasty (note: we got all things mild). "
"So we ordered the tandori chicken mixed grill and naan bread
To start the menu on door dash did not hve much of a description on what is included. other than tandori mixed grilled platter . We due order from time to time mixed grilled platters from other restaurants. This is the first time in my 40 something years as a human being on earth we solely received just a few piecesof chicken Which tasted ok . But nothing else no rice no veggies
Nothing . Nothing but a small chicken leg quarter and a few pieces of chicken breast .
Super over priced nearly $30.00 would have much rather ordered from namaste in southington better food . Greater experience . "

"Weve been customers since Sitar opened .
They continue to please. Per our request they made our two dishes low sodium, plus they added peas to Rogan Josh and paneer and extra fresh ginger to Aloo Gobi. Always accommodating, always fresh, rarely average tasting."
"I probably order from Sitar once every 2 weeks or so. I have deviated before when they are closed and I'm always disappointed with the other choices. Sitar's food is excellent! They always get it prepared quickly and they also provide more food (rice, etc.) than any other place - enough that we have leftovers! They package it neatly too (the little things). I will aways be a fan. Best Indian food in New Haven!"

"This Lamb Saag has incredible flavor without being spicy. Great for the whole family, butif you want it hotter, ask for that. Im still nervous to eat the Apollo Fish because it came in bright red coating that looks like fire. The Chickpeas Salad was huge. I love it! No one else has that."
"Tandoori Shrimp comes with the Basmati rice. Both items are made fresh and the taste is great. overall I'll give it a chefs kiss. Garlic Naan couldn't ask for anything more. The bread is soft and you can taste the garlic, but its not an overpowering garlic taste, but a pleasant amount of garlic."

"They know exactly what they're doing, the food is amazing. The Palak Malai Kofta was wonderful, a little nutty inside (texture wise), but very good. You only get 3 oblong koftas in it, so it's a lot of sauce and not very much food. The Tikka Masala was amazing, very tender and yummy. Drums of Heaven were also good, but quite, quite spicy! The Samosa was amazing, I should have had 2 orders. The Raita was very strange, watery and flavorless, not good or worth the money. Everything else was ridiculously incredible."

"The okra fries were crispy and with a savory masala flavor. The Punjabi Samosa were spicy and loaded with complex flavors. The pain Pani Puri were disappointing as only two out of four had chickpeas and only two single chickpeas in them. There was plenty of space for more and the potatoes inside were crumbled, plain, dry and cold! The other two puri had NO chickpeas at all! This dish is simple and could’ve perfect if done properly. The delivery person had difficulty finding my apt# because DoorDash or the restaurant gave her the incorrect #. However, she called me and went out of her way to bring me the order once I gave her proper direction."

"The quality of this place is unmatched. Ive been ordering for years and am NEVER dissapointed. The owner and staff are so kind too, he fed people during the pandemic and always comes out to greet patrons. I'm more financially stable today and still return for the amazing lunch specials and dinners, their ongoing great prices got me thru rlly hard times. i will door dash when not downtown cuz more local places dissapoint. Today I ordered the lamb 16) Lamb Curry and 21) Saag Paneer and 111) Strawberry Lassi (a new to me item). Portions are perfect for lunch, I order two so I get a veggie dish and a meat dish. lamb is tender & curry sauce is perfect. Saag is perfectly cooked, not too stiff but not too creamed. The strawberry Lassi was a little too sweet for me but next time I'll just call and have them adjust the sweetness. They've always accommodated REASONABLE requests for me no prob. "Amazing Every Time!
Koon Thai in New Haven, CT is one of my favorite places for Thai food! Their Beef Pad Thai is absolutely delicious and never disappoints. It is always freshly made to order, hot, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned with delicious spices. The beef is incredibly tender, juicy, and full of flavor, and you can tell they use fresh ingredients and take pride in every dish.
The quality and consistency keep me coming back everything time!!!"

"Food was great! I thought the B5. Mango Dhara was a little too sour though, like the mango was a little underripe, some more sugar would have balanced it out. Still a good drink though"

Little Pub Chili is hearty andmy fiance loves it!"
"Wrap was really good, it's a good size for the price and having the chipotle aioli with it is just perfect. I tried the tots instead of fries this time, but I think their fries are much better. The tots weren't that crispy, and could just be a lack of salt which they do give with the utensils but they taste okay, they were a bit oily though."

"Always reliable to have a great meal !!! Love the Roasted Pork (Pernil) Meal full of flavor very delicious!!!"
"I loved the roast pork meal(pernil) this is my second time ordering it. I'm from Charleston South Carolina gonna be here till next month. I'm planning on taking back two of large pork meal, pernil back to South Carolina, but the beef empanada was pathetic. It had very little beef very bad. I'm hoping when I re-order again I guess some kind of discount or refund. If not, I would just have to go elsewhere, but the roast pork meal is good."

"I order Thai food regularly& this is my top dog!
Everything is excellent...
Chicken Satay flavored well and cooked perfectly.
Drunken noodles are delicious.
The absolute best green curry around.
(My only critique is they are a little light on the shrimp, wish they offered up charge for extra)
Egg fried rice is unmatched. Incredible. "
"Very sorry but the Pad Thai with tofu needed more flavor and tofu was soaked with oil. Chicken satay pretty good but still greasy. The menu picture showed four pieces, but we received three. Coconut sticky rice very greasy. And the pork dumplings were just horrible. The people at uncle jacks are very nice and I think maybe this just a bad night. "

"The falafel, chef's kiss! The salad was good and their bread. Pls make the chicken tender next time and more rice pls. Thank you for being generous."
"I don't usually write negative reviews, but if you are highly familiar with Turkish cuisine, this is NOT the place you want to order from. So many other alternative options and places that are way too better than this one. Let's start with the Pan-fried Liver / Arnavut Cigeri, it was NOT FRESH and overcooked. It tasted like it was sitting in the refrigerator for a week and they took it out and put it in the microwave to the point where it's completely dried out. I then decided to put that aside and try the Mixed Grill / Karışık Izgara, omg same issue. All the meat was very overcooked, hard, and dry!! To add insult to injury, I decided to take a sip of Ayran hoping I would at least enjoy that, but even that was horrible. They might as well just sell bottled Ayran if making their own tastes this bad. Last but not least, the Baba Ganoush was probably the most edible thing I ordered, only because it was not too old albeit not fresh. I made a big order hoping to enjoy myself, but was very disappointed and would never order from here again; and would advise anyone not to waste their money on a place that charges so much for poor quality food. I would've been better off ordering from Saray or Turkish Kebab House in West Haven. I thought I would try something new, but hey, you live and you learn."
