"I haven't ordered from city life in China for years however I do like their handmade noodles. As you can see the crab Rangoon was overcooked and not edible. I did order from DoorDash and tried to call the restaurant immediately twice, but after waiting for some time was just hung up on all around bad business and I can get noodles somewhere else."

"The Plate had great quality orange chicken and the chow main. Great flavor and a good portion size for its price. The fried rice was good too, just not as great. The Chicken Egg Roll was also fresh and flavorful, and a good size as well. What I would skip on would be the Strawberry Dragonfruit Refresher. Tasted water downed, bland, and boring. All in all, the food was fresh and tasty, and I would order again, maybe just not the drink."
"I’m really disappointed with this order. The honey chicken bowl was mostly noodles with very little chicken — I counted only about 7 small pieces. There were also supposed to be red peppers Bowl included, but none were in the bowl at all.
For the price, I expected a much better portion balance. This felt like mostly filler and not enough protein. Definitely not satisfied with the quality or portion size this time."

"I think this food was fantastic!! Great tasting EVERYTHING! General Tso's Chicken had a great spice level and wasn't overcooked like I've had at other places in the past. The shrimp with broccoli was terrific, the Pepper Steak was so delicious and NOT rubbery -- finally!!! Overall, great food, great price...wil DEFINITELY order again!! Thank you!!!"
"The food is amazing! And such a great deal. I also highly recommend the donuts, they're fresh, buttery sweet and more dense than a regular donut which I loved. This was my first time ordering from here and will only buy chinese food from here from now on."

"Outstanding lunch on thé patio today with a top notch server, Jason, who explained menu items so knowledgeably. The eggplant with spicy garlic sauce (with added tofu) was truly delicious. They also offer multi grain rice as an option. Dan Dan noodles were equally wonderful. The serving size was really large and thé présentation a work of art. Thanks also to hostess Christina. Tables are socially distant and servers helpfully masked. Another plus- thé front patio at lunch is naturally shaded. My friends and I look forward to returning to try more of Chang's classics recommended by Jason. Highly recommend for lunch or dinner! "
"I don't get it. This place is gross. We ordered the 23. Sesame Chicken based on reviews... it is a freaky bright red color and a strange gelatinous texture. The chicken is all white meat and bone dry while the breading was squishy and saturated with the red goop.
It's crazy expensive, too. $20 for some green beans? C'mon. "

"Fantastic (Asparagus & Crab Soup) - 10/10
Fantastic (Egg Drop Soup) - 9/10
These two soups were flavorful and fresh and absolutely fantastic! The packaging was tightly wrapped with no leakage. Soup containers had very good seals.
I have had (Asparagus & Crab Soup) at a good number of restaurants and this was by FAR the best. Most restaurants give you mostly sad broth but the serving I got from Far East Restaurant was loaded with crab meat and small sliced tender chunks of asparagus and plenty of chives/green onion.
Highly recommend!"

"Everything came hot! Carrots and peas in the egg, is new. Shrimp Egg Foo Young The gravy could have been seasoned a little more with salt.

Cons: they are generous with the carbs (noodles or rice are about 70% of the bowl) and so this is not a well balanced meal for folks who are sedentary, diabetic, obese, or on a carb-control diet. If you are healthy and active, highly recommend."
"The N32.shrimp wonton noodle soup/虾云吞汤面was absolutely delicious and the 3. Black Sticks Rice with Coconut Milk and Mango / 紫米椰奶凍was TERRIBLE! I recommend the fish in hot chili sauce (a very large and hearty dish), double cooked pork, and the mapo tofu: the holy trinity of Sichuan fare. Their lunch specials come with soup and are well-proportioned and delicious.
Note: the scallion bubble pancakes don't super well -- when packaged for delivery and they such lose the fabulous shape you see in pictures. I don't mind since the taste is still great, but just be aware that the scallion bubble pancakes will deflate after the journey."
"I usually love Peter Chang's but this time the menu was limited and the food was not that good. The lamb was overpriced and tasted old. The spring rolls were really small and Luke warm. I will not be ordering again. "

" I have searched high and low for good Chinese food in DC- I had given up. But finally, I found something so excellent, so creative--true Szechuan cuisine! Thank you! This is the best Chinese food within 30 minutes of dc/Chevy Chase/Bethesda--the best I've had outside of NYC in 35 years."
"The Mongolian Beef was salty, not tasty, and a small portion for almost $30. The Sesame Chicken was better tasting but also not great taste wise, maybe we got an off time or day. I expected better for the price. "

"The Shrimp Lo Mein and the Singapore Style Rice Noodle were amazing, I would have liked it spicier but it was still great."
"Shrimp with Garlic Sauce was excellent. It had plenty of sweet & spicy succulent shrimp. Well seasoned and spicy but still edible. The shrimp were a tiny bit overcooked but still tasty with lots of broccoli which was crisp, with a slight bite. I will definitely order again. The other items ordered included. portion sizes were large enough for leftovers.

"the Moo Goo Gai Pan磨菇鸡 is SO good!! perfect
balance of chicken and veggies, well-sauced without drowning the food in it. Egg Roll (2)春卷 is tasty and the Pork Dumpling (6)猪肉水饺 is flavorful and not too dense. love this place! "
"I've ordered like 6 times already since I moved into the area and found spring garden, but I order over the phone... price is cheaper than ordering on DD! However even thou it's pricey, the food is the BEST!! Especially the chicken n broccoli, I've had NO issues. King pao chicken needs a sauce and the lomein a bit dry... ( you can ask for different sauces though)however everything is top notch "

"The Chili Crisp Wontons were amazing! I'd definitely order them again. The portion size was perfect and the fresh garnishes were delicious. It is spicier than I would have liked but the flavor is still very present."
"The chicken lo mein was VERY dry and not flavorful. I've had much better results from a local Chinese restaurant. The photos Hawkers uses seems falsified because it came in a brown cardboard box as a very small portion. It reminded me of an exact replica Panda Express chow mein noodles. For the cost and quality, I absolutely would not order again. The only thing that was good was the kids bulgolgi meal (at least THAT chicken was moist)."

"The egg drop soup is delicious. I always have it with soy sauce and the crispy things but today i was sad to fine no soy sauce! illegal! however the soup was still delicious it was the first time i ever had with without the blackened salty effect. "
"Ordering vegan after 11pm leaves limited options. I was in the mood for something filling so I ordered General Tso's Tofu / 左宗豆腐 this is not my first time ordering this--- it tastes OK. Not reminiscent of anything general tso's. Plz change the recipe. The tofu was cooked to a good firmess. It does not have the sweet sauce' flavor-- this is more oily-- minimal spice-3 pieces of broccoli-tofu has zero flavoring/bland. It comes with steamed white rice--- no sauce packets, or utensils in the bag. -food was a great temperature. "

"This 12$ box was so worth the price and more. It came with a large Shrimp Fried Rice , that was amazingly delicious. I definitely recommend this deal."
"I ordered takeout. Everything was piping hot and ready quickly for pickup. The Pu Pu Platter (for two people) included Bar-B-Q Spare Rib Tips (decent), 2 Chicken On A Stick (tender but too salty),2 Shrimp Toast (decent), 2 Spring Rolls (good), 2 fried wonton with beef (?) filling (good). The Egg Drop Soup and Wonton Soup were solid, and what you would expect from a fast food Chinese restaurant."
