"First time ever trying Dave's Hot Chicken, so I had no idea what to expect. Which is why I chose the Dave's #2: 2 Sliders w/ Fries . because I'm thinking 'They're sliders, probably small pieces of chicken, right?' Nope. I did the sliders, with cheese, kale salad, and Dave's sauce for both, and since I have no idea of what their spicy scale is, tried their lite mild and mild to start with. First of all, these sliders are big; there's some weight to these guys. For most people, one slider might be all you need with the fries to be full.
Flavor wise, there's something sweet either in the batter or the sauce, which is interesting, but as a whole works. The chicken is delicious, although the fries I probably would have liked better if they were crisper. Overall, the fries are good, not great. As for the spiciness, to me there was very little, which makes sense, so next time I plan on ordering, I'll raise the spice level to something much higher, probably at least the hot level next time.
The Regular Oreo Top Loaded Shake was a little thin and watery, though it might have been due to the warm temperatures and the time it took to reach me. Even so, it's nothing special. It might be good to cancel a slider's spiciness on the upper end of the spicy scale, but other than that, I can't see myself getting it again.
Overall, a good first time experience. Now I have an idea of what Dave's is like, and I'll try them again."
