Summary: I tried this place because I saw there were good reviews and it was discounted. The food was edible, but not necessarily enjoyable. In the future, I'll stick to McDs for something better or Bardos for the best in Salem."

"Double biscuits and gravy, a 16 oz coffee and donut of your choice for under $14.00. One of the best prices I've seen for a biscuit and gravy breakfast on DoorDash. The portion size was generous, and both the biscuits and gravy tasted homemade. I chose the Boston Creme donut, which is my personal favorite.
If you prefer a different side than a donut, you can order the biscuits and gravy a la carte for $8.50. Add two slices of bacon for another $3.00. Coffee a la carte price is $3.25-$3.75, depending on size. Coffee was decent and they included half and half at no extra charge.
I will order this again the next time I'm craving biscuits and gravy. Not only is the price lower than many area restaurants, but they're open earlier in the morning (6:00 a.m.).

"I usually order the #3 combo (b&g, donut & coffee), but it didn't allow me to choose the Marionberry donut, so I went a la carte. Bagel with cream cheese, side of bacon, and donut with large coffee came out to less than the combo (with medium coffee) would have been.
Marion berry blackberry donut is my current favorite. Much more flavorful than a regular jelly donut. Everything bagel w/cream cheese was excellent too. Bacon could have been a little crispier, but it was still good. I appreciate the fact that they wrapped each item separately (another donut place just threw the bacon on top of the b&g, which is one of my pet peeves).
I still think they should allow a choice of any of their single donuts on the b&g combo, because you don't always want the same donut, but I was wrong about the price. It's $14.45 if you order the items a la carte (.70 more), not $16.00. My eyes must have been playing tricks on me."

The idea of building your own bagel sounds nice, but by charging separately for the bagel, spread, and various toppings, they jack the price up way above what a similar sandwich costs at other restaurants. As an experiment, I I tried making a basic egg, sausage and cheese bagel. The price came out to $11.00.
I could get an identical sandwich at Starbucks for $6.15, or at McDonalds for $5.45. There's no reason for these bagels to cost twice as much."

"Both the Hazelnut Bread Pudding and Warm and Warm & Toasty were delicious, but very small portions for the price. The bread pudding is similar to French toast, but with a more gooey texture, and a very sweet, caramel taste. Roasted hazelnuts add a bit of crunch.
The Warm & Toasty only came in one size, which is equivalent to a small at Starbucks. It's also extra sweet, with brown sugar being the dominant flavor, so it went well with the Hazelnut Bread Pudding.

Monte Cristo sandwich was just as described: thin-sliced deli ham and Cheddar cheese between two pieces of French toast. The French toast was golden brown on the outside and soft and custardy on the inside, like French toast should be.
I didn't think the carmel dip paired well with the ham and cheese, so I put it in my coffee instead. I suggest they add a way to request cream and sugar with coffee orders, since mine came black. And maybe offer raspberry jam (another traditional side for a Monte Cristo) as an alternative to the dip.
Fresh fruit was sliced pineapple (not canned). Not a super big portion, but a nice palate cleanser after the salty ham sandwich."

The egg and cheese bagel was tasty and filling, but I wouldn't pay the regular price ($6.99) for it. $5.00 seems nearer the mark. I chose the sesame bagel, which can be hard to find at other coffee shops. Since it was a BOGO, and I live alone, I'm putting the second sandwich away in the freezer to reheat tomorrow.
As for the latte - again, good tasting, and I appreciate the fact that they don't have a surcharge for nondairy alternatives, but $5.99 is too much to pay for a short (12 oz) coffee drink.

"The beef plate is a good value, there was a good amount of flavorful rice, good tasting diced beef, a small green salad with lettuce and delicious hummus and tzaziki. The food was packaged well and plastic utensils were also sent. TheDamascus chicken pita was big, enough for a second meal and very flavorful. The Baklava was one of the better tasting dessert I have tasted. The phyllo dough was crunchy, the nuts had a good flavor, and just enough honey to make it craveable but not coyingly sweet. Will definitely reorder again to try other offerings and will definitely leave room for more Baklava!"

I ordered the lamb plate and it doesn't matter what you are taking a bite of, every bite is absolutely overflowing with flavour and everything compliments each other beautifully! The portions are large and the food is fresh and beautifully seasoned. Mediterranean/Arabic food is one of my favourites and I've had some great Mediterranean/Arabic food in Portland. "The good: The Italian subs came well packaged, which I appreciated. The subs were made with high-quality ingredients and were absolutely delicious. I had it made on garlic bread which was wonderful. I got their buy one, get one free deal. I like the pickle spear on the side.
The bad: It was very small with very few toppings. If I had paid regular price for the sub, I would've been very upset. It was delicious, but definitely not worth that price. They didn't allow for special instructions, which I feel like any business that truly cares about their customer's experience would allow. 
I tried to compare it to Subway because that is my favorite sub shop. If you like lots of meat and fresh veggies with lots of options on bread, sauces, and veggies, plus want a good value, go to Subway. If you are more of a foodie and don't mind paying higher prices, have a smaller appetite, or don't like a lot of veggies on your subs, go here. They are delicious for sure but the cost (without the deal) doesn't justify what you get. If the portion wasn't so small or the price was less, I would have loved it rather than just liked it. With the deal, I would get it again if I wasn't that hungry. At full price, I'm choosing Subway every time."
