"I've ordered from this location a few times and have always been satisfied. This time, something went wrong. The Loaded Beef Nachos were lacking all toppings besides the steak that I switched for beef, and it was the first time I had to mix everything myself which led to me realizing how little of everything else they gave me. It was mainly chips. I had that first and thought that would be a one-off since my prior experiences had been great so I didnt think to take a picture , but then I got to the dipping burritos. I've had them before and was shocked to see them smaller than my pinky finger. They tasted alright, but if I paid $7 for just them and I was at the store I would have asked if they messed up somehow because they were barely 2 bites a piece. Then I got to the Doritos locos tacos and took 1 bite of the 2 and put them down. They tasted "chemically" for a lack of a better term and they're usually one of my favorite items here, but I could not bring myself to take another bite. I'm sure I'll order here again because this seems like an off night, but man was I disappointed from spending $30 on this order. "

"Fronteras is one of the best Mexican food spots in Palatine. The owner runs a clean shop with fresh ingredients and fire grilled meats for every order. I would compare Fronteras to a fresher, more authentic version of Chipotle. When you order in the store, you choose your ingredients and protein before they turn around and grill the meat fresh on the spot, most of the time I've been there anyway.
We moved to Palatine in April 2025 and have been happily returning here at least on a monthly basis. I prefer the arrachera burrito with habanero salsa and red salsa. Each burrito is large and the quesadillas also are very filling. The bowls at Fronteras are comparable to the size you get at Chipotle."
