"The Quesa Birria Taco was very good, the meat was plentiful, tender and not too spicy, and the shell nice and crispy. I usually don't order this as it always looks greasy, but this one was not.
The burger was also very good and they added grilled onions as requested. The bun was lightly toasted and held up to the burger, which is good. Sometimes the bun
tends to fall apart and then there's a mess.

"I am very pleased! Ordering Carne Asada Fries from other places can be risky, sometimes the fries are soggy. I knew when my delivery driver handed me the food by how hot it still was after 20 min that it was going to be good. I am blown away! "This is my favorite restaurant in Chico. I love American Mexican food. I was born and raised in Arizona. It's rare to find an all meat carne asada burrito as such. Don't get me wrong I love beans and rice very very much but perfer and all meat carne asada burrito just like from home.
The rolled tacos are also great. The prices are good. I pay the $5 extra fee as I live across town. It's worth it on special days. This is where I'd go on my birthday. Lol.

The tacos are pretty good for a fast food taco. the tacos are nothing crazy but they taste good and are more affordable thn anything else I have found. "The Boneless Wings were tiny, like half the size of a normal boneless wing. The Cesar salad had way too much cheese. There was quite a bit of cayenne on the corn on the cob, which was not supposed to be there. The add on avocado for my salad was only 3 thin slices for $1.60. The avocado ranch dressing was ranch with a small chunk of avocado thrown in the cup. None of the dips / dressings were labeled as to what they were.
The driver had good communication, however, left the delivery on the ground and not on the stand as stated in my instructions. The cold salad was sideways in the same bag as the hot dishes. "

Sadly, that positive was balanced by a quite upsetting negative.
I also ordered a side of French Fries to share, and while the quantity was great for the price... that's where the value ended.
The fries were disgusting.
They were cold, limp, undercooked or overcooked depending on the fry, and had that nasty texture fries that have sat around for days and then been poorly reheated tend to get. There was no way these had been made fresh more recently than the weekend (it's Wednesday). And there is no way Black Bear would have served these in-restraunt.
Absolutely NOT worth the $7.09 price for a side of fries. Probably 98% of the batch went into the trash, and we still ate too many.
We won't be ordering delivery from Black Bear again."
