"Another average at best Greek/Mediterranean spot in Houston. We have tried almost all of them and most are not that good to be honest. The dip sampler was ok, tzatziki was decent, eggplant was pretty good, but the hummus was terrible we had to throw it out. Also for over $20 in sampler dips you would think they would do the right thing and give you 2-3 pittas to dip in them. Nope they barely gave us one pita, very disappointing. We even ordered extra on the side and again it was very minimal, pittas are cheap and easy to make and most spots throw in a few especially if you order extra but they did not. The pittas are very soft and fluffy though so that is a bright spot one of the better pittas in Houston. The gyro was decent but nothing unforgettable best part of it was the pitta on the outside. We prefer thin sliced pieces of meat but they were a bit chunkier. So overall would not recommend them at all 6/10, still the best Greek/Mediterranean food out here is Petras, at least they give tons of meat on their gyros and the meat is flavorful instead of bland like most of these places."

"Ok so we were pleasantly surprised by Angelo's after having so many bad Italian restaurants here on the coastal side of Houston, they are all over the place here but most of them are not good at all. Italian is another area where Houston needs help in, you have to really search to find that needle in the haystack out here for Italian food, and you will get fooled by most reviews because the people down here don't really know what good Italian is so they rate high because they have nothing to compare it too. Angelo's was actually pretty good, a solid 7.5/10 which is good compared to the 5-6/10 for most Italian in H-town. So the pizza was actually pretty decent, we got a plain cheese with extra sauce and an eggplant and ricotta and they were were pretty good. A bit cheap with the ricotta dollops but otherwise good. The pastas were just okay tbh nothing special we tried a bunch of them and they were just ok nothing we would seek out or try again. The fried calamari was great surprisingly, most places make a terrible calamari but this one was done right, not over cooked and light crispy batter with marinara proper not with ranch like some of these disrespectful places serve down here lol. The ceasar was decent too, and the tiramisu is probably one of the best tiramisu's in Houston. We got a side of meatballs not expecting much but they were also surprisingly good as well. Chicken parm sub was underwhelming though, cutlet was way too thick and only covered the center of the sub with both ends of bread being empty, they should slice the meat thinner and pound it out a bit flatter and put two cutlets on there proper like. However most of Houston makes terrible chicken parm subs, even places they rave about out here got nothing on the proper chicken parmigiana subs from Jersey/NY/Philly. Not sure why because it's actually one of the easier Italian things to make but most miss the mark out here. So overall not bad for Houston Italian, we would recommend them for some simple pizza, calamari, meatballs, and some tiramisu but skip the pastas and subs."

"Always weary of Pizza places outside of NY/NJ calling themselves "Brooklyn or NY" pizza, but surprised for once in this case as this spot actually has decent pizza and hot subs. They made a few mistakes on our order but the food quality and flavor was pretty good compared to 90% of all the other pizza places in Houston. Cheesesteak was surprisingly pretty good, they actually seasoned their meat, had great flavor and decent bread. Hard to find a decent cheesesteak in this city. Only issue is that they use mozzarella for their cheese and wish they would give the option for American cheese like a proper Philly cheesesteak or at lease provolone but it was still pretty good. Also the description says onions and peppers with no options to keep or remove and we ended getting a cheesesteak with just steak and cheese which is fine because we didn't want any green peppers. The meatball parm sub was also pretty good better than most places. The chicken cutlet was decent, not the worst and not the best, wish they didn't cut the chicken up and just gave whole cutlets like a chicken parm should be. Chicken cutlet sandwich was decent as well but it had cheese on it which it doesn't say it does in the description also not that big a deal but not exactly what we wanted and wish they would give an option to add mayo to the sandwich, but ended up just adding it ourselves at home and it was pretty good after that. The wings were also pretty good, the blue cheese they give with it was also good. The pizza was pretty good, only issue is we ordered half plain and half pepperoni and we ended up getting a pie full of pepperoni, not that big a deal but we definitely wanted plain because that's how you judge a pizza spot properly is by how good their plain pizza is, anyhow it was still pretty good, especially compared to some of these horrendous pizza spots we have tried out here in H-town and we have tried almost all of them out here. Home Slice is still oneof the best we have found in this city but this spot is not bad. So overall we give them a 7.9/10 which is a good score for this areas when everything else is a 5-6/10 or lower. Would recommend giving them a try."

The sauce was fresh. The crust was exactly what I was looking for. Crispy but also fluffy, I'm not finding the words, but if you know, you know. I think it has herbs sprinkled on it, and that reminds me of my favorite pizza joint back home. There was a good amount of tomato and cheese, not too much, not too little. The basil is where it's lacking. when you only have a three ingredient pizza, you should get more than one or two bites per slice that have all three ingredients in it. Maybe if I ordered for pick up or dine it it would have been different, I'm not sure. But, overall a solid pizza and one of the better Margherita pizzas I've had living here."

"Scrumptious as always!!! Super fresh. The Manicotti has the perfect balance between noodles, cheese and sauce. The noodles (manicoti shells) taste like homemade pasta - not boiled from dry preserved noodles. We sure hope they really are homemade! They cetsinly taste and appeaer to be. The Olive Oil, Garlic and Basil is wonderful!!! We wish they would sell an order of just Garlic Knots so we can enjoy the Olive Oil, Garlic and Basil with more than just the 2 knobs that come with each entree. The Garlic Bread with Cheese and Tomato makes a wonderful treat when reheated! And our order came with 2 small containers of fresh, warm marinara sauce for dippng. I don't know if that is customary (the inclusion of 2 small marinara sauce cups), because it's not included in the description, but we sure enjoyed that they were included! The salads also were fresh, although we wish there was a place on the DD menu to select NOT to include them so they don't go to waste when the kids want to order pasta but do not want the salads. (Or better yet, have an option to substitute a cup of soup or a small side instead of the salad, please!). "
