The quesabirria taco was bomb. Crispy, cheesy, juicy, and that consomé? Tasty! Same with the carnitas taco—shockingly good. I’m not even a huge carnitas lover, but this one? Soft, seasoned, flavorful. They did it right.
Now, this place is definitely going on the list of spots for legit Mexican-style tacos. I’m picky, especially with meat, and if you know me, you know I check my tacos before I even take a bite. I literally scan for fat and gristly pieces, and I can tell you—besides the al pastor, which wasn’t my favorite and had a few of those fatty bites—the rest was super clean. Minimal fat, nice texture, and you can see in the photos: my plates are basically empty except for those tiny bits. That says something.
So why not a 5 out of 5? Because while it was delicious and totally hit the spot....it wasn’t mind-blowing. I reserve that 5-star status for the spots that leave me shook! "Luis did a wonderful job delivering my breakfast. When IHOP forgot to give him my coffee, he returned back, and brought the coffee to the house! Luis is a reliable dasher, who is dedicated to providing excellent customer service.
I ordered the Colorado Omelette, with 3 Pancakes, and a cup of coffee. The Colorado Omelette was cooked to perfection, with plenty of meat, and melted cheddar (I think) cheese. The 3 Buttermilk Pancakes were warm and fluffy, and easy to cut with the included plastic knife and fork and napkin. Butter and syrup was included.
The International House Coffee was very good, with a pleasantly rich flavor.
