"58. Vegetable Egg Foo Young (菜圆蛋) was bland, thin on the eggs and lacked any flavor. Not terrible, just ok. 1. Cheese Steak Roll had hardly any steak or cheese. Egg 1b. Plain Egg Roll (菜卷) was also light on the filling; both rolls were gummy. Cheeseburger (汉堡) was dry and lacked any flavor. Mostly a large bun with a small disc of unseasoned mystery meat. "Ordered the beef pho, Rice vermicelli - Bun Rieu and the banh mi. All were delicious and great quality. Extremely filling and very flavorful."
"Made an order Christmas evening for a quick family dinner before heading out to the movies. The cold cut banh mi for the price was good. But there was hardly any meat let alone the main ingredient. Mayo and pate . I kid you not when I open up the banh mi I was so confused on what kind of banh mi it was. No mayo, barely any pate, the two cold cuts meat were so thinly slice. I was better off going to Wawa for a hoagie.
Ordered the pho with the flank and meatballs. Ended up with shank instead. Kids would not eat the shank as they wanted meatballs.
Wonton soup broth was straight sesame oil ... the wonton itself was okay.
Rice platter my husband didnt even eat..he said the "grilled" pork wasnt grilled but rather precooked then microwaved. Had a chewy texture.
Spring rolls were the best thing they had offered. Actually best I have tried around the area that isnt filled loaded with taro as a substitute to fill the egg roll . "

"I highly recommend the C12. "love everything I have eaten here. Appreciate the variety of menu items, thr value for the money, the slightly different flavor profiles for some classic dishes (general tsos has a bit of a orange citrus taste which I enjoy, especially with tofu)!, appreciate being able to specify allergens with the dan dan noodles and the portion sizes being large for vegetarian entrees!

"I got the 26. Shrimp Lo Mein & the 2. Shrimp Egg Roll. Both are sooo good. I didn't even need to add soy sauce to my lo mein, that's how good it is. The shrimp roll was a little too toasted(fried) on one side but I didn't mind it. It didn't take away from the taste. I'll definitely be ordering here again."
"L14. Szechuan Halal Beef Lunch Special we ordered was heat level 3. It was perfect. The spice level was background but noticeable. Although she thought it wasn't hot enough. The veggies were fresh and the meat tender. The Orange Chicken was flavorful, not too sweet. Spice level 1 is no spice. Overall a good choice for lunch"

"This place never disappoints! I am 100% hooked on the vegetarian V 1. Wonton Soup. The V10. Spring Roll (1) is always crispy and never greasy. I also had the V46. Vegetable Fried Rice, Lo Mein, Chow Fun or Mei Fun Lo Mein. Sooooooo good! This is definitely my go to spot for some solid vegetarian Chinese food. "
"Nothing fancy but great for the munchies. Not "spicy" when I chose the option but super yummy and a good portion for the price. Really like the dumplings and dipping sauce they come with! "

"Consistently my favorite! For me, it portions out to two meals. So perfectly cooked! The chicken is browned yet still tender, the vegetables have some crispiness but are not too tough, and the fried rice is perfect, just enough sauce that it is tender, yet not oily. The squid is always fresh and it's sauce is very flavorful and generous. In fact, there's plenty of flavorful sauce with every component! The egg rolls were crisped, perfectly and fully cooked inside, again, it's sauce is well balanced, sweet and tangy! Please give them a try!!"
"The side Fried Noodles is too small for just dried out noodles. The sauce on your plain noodles is not enough. When the Fried Noodles arrive, they are dry. More sauce is needed. I should have to spend extra on Brown Sauce. Chicken Wings are good. Just wish I could order 5 Wings with Fried Noodles."

"牛肉卷 / Cheesesteak Roll was a little salty.
芥兰牛 / Beef with Broccoli broccoli cooked to perfection, sauce was great would have liked a little more, beef was very chewy and fatty.
左宗鸡 / General Tso's Chicken everything about it was great! The sauce, delicious. Chicken cooked to perfection.
Will return and order again, portion size was great, food fresh and hot!"
"海鲜河粉 / Seafood Chow Ho Fun I'm not a fan. Idk if the noodles were overcooked or if that's how it's supposed to be but I'm big on textures and they were soft. It was my first and last time. 炸干贝 / Fried Scallops, 排骨尾 / Spare Rib Tips, 鸡翅膀 / Fried Chicken Wings and 虾卷 / Shrimp Roll were good as usual."

"We got the Curried Chicken with Rice w. Onion and Sizzling Beef with Black Pepper. Both were very good and very filling. They tasted incredible and were still hot as hell. I only wish the Curried Chicken with Rice w. Onion was more spicy."
"I’ve been coming to Penang for years and used to be a frequent customer for both dine-in and takeout. It was always one of my favorite local restaurants, which makes it especially disappointing to say that my last two experiences (including today’s) have convinced me that the quality of both the food and service has declined significantly. Whether it’s due to new ownership, poor management, or a lack of staff training, something has clearly changed.
I placed a takeout order for 9 items and was quoted an estimated pickup time of 1 hour. That’s an unusually long wait, especially on a Tuesday at 4pm when the restaurant was nearly empty. When I arrived, there were only three occupied tables, making the wait even harder to understand.
The pickup experience was equally disappointing. A server pointed me toward the front counter, but no one was there. I stood waiting for nearly 5 minutes before someone finally came over, even though my food had already been packed and was sitting behind the counter.
The packaging showed a complete lack of care. While the individual containers were fine, the entire order was crammed into a single brown paper bag filled to the top, with containers sticking up near the handles. There was no way the bag could be carried safely without risking it tearing. I politely asked if they could split the order into two bags. Instead of helping, the employee gave me a dirty look, handed me an empty second bag after I had already paid, and told me to repack it myself. That should never be the customer’s responsibility. It should have been packaged properly from the start.
Unfortunately, the food has declined as well. The roti canai, which used to be one of my favorites, was a huge disappointment. The roti itself was rubbery, and the curry dipping sauce was so watered down that it lacked the rich flavor it was once known for. Other dishes also seemed noticeably smaller while prices have continued to increase. I understand inflation affects restaurants, but this felt more like cutting corners than simply adjusting prices.
What disappoints me most is that Penang used to stand out for both its food and hospitality. Now the customer service feels indifferent, the attention to detail is gone, and the food no longer justifies the prices.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but after two consistently poor experiences, I can no longer recommend this restaurant. It’s unfortunate to see a place that was once so reliable decline to this extent."

"Everything is always hot and delicious. One of my go-tos is the Lotus Sticky Rice Chicken Wrap (3) 糯米鸡. It's chicken and mushrooms wrapped in sticky rice, a perfect comfort food. The Spicy Cucumber Salad 绝味黄瓜 was fresh and crisp, it had a kick to it too."
"Besides the 47 minute delay.... the food was still warm and pretty tasty! First time trying both dishes, the Pork Soup Dumplings (6) 灌汤小笼包 still had soup and solid texture, not a fan of the dip. The Tom Yum Dumplings Soup 冬阴汤包汤 wasn't too spicy for me but my tolerance is strong, but the flavor was amazing!"

"This will be our new go to for Chinese food! Has the Singapore Mai Fun, which is one of my favorite dishes and theirs was delicious. The General Tso's Chicken meal box was an excellent value for the $12 meal box; you can tell it was chicken breast used (for those who love that) and for the price, there were enough for several servings. We also had the Chicken & Shrimp with Garlic sauce which was just as tasty!"
