"The CHICKEN LEG WITH BARBERRY RICE was lovely. I bought this during Happy Hour so received the 2 for 1 plus discount. It's a lot of food, both coming with rice, potatoes, a bit of pickled cabbage, and onions. The chicken was fall-off- the-bone tender and very flavourful. The potatoes were perfectly cooked - a comforting side. I'll definitely get another 2 or 3 meals from this order. Highly recommend."
"Once again Sahel delivers big-time with fabulous food and quck service. I rarely order from anywhere else now because nowhere compares with the quality, taste and portion size delivered still warm. Ordered at 6:30 and had the meal in my hands before 7pm. Fresh and delicious. Ordered the Lamb Shank with Basmati rice and oh-so-yummy roast potatoes and it is absolutely delicious! Cannot fault it and I wonder when Sahel is going to get the acknowledgement it deserves in local food awards. Bravo1 10/10"

Saman Bakery Sangak Bread Whole Wheat
Sang” means stone or pebble, and “sangak” means little stone, referring to the way the bread is baked atop a bed of small stones in a hot oven. This unique baking method creates a charred uneven surface with little pillows from the shape of the stones, producing an incredibly aromatic and full-bodied taste.
Sangak bread originated over 12,000 years ago during the Neolithic era when all of the grain had to be hand-ground into fine flour. Our sangak bread is made using age old methods and recipes, with the finest selection of artfully combined ingredients to yield a soft and robust taste. A generous sprinkling of sesame seeds and poppy seeds eloquently brings out the natural fragrances of this bread and adds an extra layer of flavour.
Traditionally, sangak bread is eaten with a variety of cheeses, can be placed under hot kebabs to soak up the delicious flavour, or enjoyed with your favourite meals – the options are endless!

"The Najib's Special is a dish of generous portions, with an excellent hummus. And other good Mediterranean items. Pricing is very good. The one flaw was that they apparently mixed my order up with somebody else's that also included the Najib's Special, so I didn't get the avocado or baklava that I also ordered. But ended up with another main plate in their place. Nuba also got the order out to the doordasher in very good time. And Sera delivered the order quickly and obviously had no difficulty following the delivery instructions that Mei Li failed or refused to follow last night.

"Wow!!! I've been waiting to try Mr. Shawarma and it is one of the best meals I've had in a long time. I thought I was just ordering a snack and here you guys come with a pound of amazing food lol! The hype is legit and I will be back :)"
"I ordered the Original Platter w/ Extra Chicken and Fries for a few extra bucks and it was amazing. the chicken is what I expect when wanting great Shwarma and the garlic sauce with the hot sauce is also on point. The rice is seasoned nicely and is a little different than my usual place where I used to live but I like this places rice better. If I had any thing to add to this ti make it even better I'd say a Greek style salad would be a nice touch instead of the chopped greens it comes with. For a bit over $30 I got the Original Platter and the extras, plus the drivers tip, which provided me with a dinner and lunch the next day. That's great value considering I didn't have to put pants on to get it lol. I reccomend Mr.Shwarma if you like platters. I look forward to trying the Wrap next which I imagine will be great because it will have the same chicken and sauces in it."

"I really like the options on the menu here. The quality of the ingredients is good for a franchise and the sauces are great.
The portions can be a little smaller than they used to be. When they opened, the extreme size would need to be squished into the containers by the cover. Now they don't quite even fill it."
"Food was very bad. Quality and taste were horrible. Not worth the money. I ordered the Regular Habibi Bowl. Chicken was poor quality. No real ingredients in the bowl besides rice. I threw it."

"Absolutely love this restaurant. The flavors are off the charts. it's really nice that they have a gluten free boulani. I love the mint chutney so much that I crave it. I wish I could buy it in a bottle."
"Chai feast is an absolute bargain and every single dish within it is delicious. Delicately flavoured and beautifully cooked. Easily feeds two hungry people with some leftovers too! So good we ordered the same thing twice in three days just to try the variations.
The rice pudding is also excellent but a little small for $8 in my opinion. Still a sweet way to finish an outstanding meal.
I'll be back to try the restaurant in person next time I'm in the area. "

"Chicken Rice Bowl Combo was less than what most places have for their rice platers, but the same amount. The taste was not great either ND seemed like it had been sitting without warmth for a while. "Absolutely delicious, best Lemon Potatoes Ive had in the city, but the menu prices vs portion sizes leaves something to be desired - taking into consideration just how many greek restaurants are within arms reach in Vancouver, I have a hard time justifying the premium price for half the quantity in comparison. "
"Lots of flavor in all of the dishes. Excellent feta in the Greek salad. Dip trio was good. Potato's were also very good. Rice was okay...just ridiculously expensive for a tiny box of average rice. Either need a bigger box for 8 bucks or a lower price. I know... inflation. But....

"Shawarma plate for 3 was super generous portions. Fed 3 adults and 3 kids, with leftovers. Dips were really flavourful, with something for everyone.
The kids wanted more pitas (we'll just order a few more next time?), and more potatoes, but that's just because they fought over them for how delicious they were!"

Salad was not fresh and thrown over humus with chips pushed in.

"The rice looked unassuming but was suprsingly very flavourful and well spiced. Crispy and well seasoned falafels (came with 3 large ones). Generous pierces of shawarma meat that were crispy on the outside (in the photo, some fell into the hummus so it looks less). Tabbouleh ($1 extra to sub for house salad) was good as well.
Hummus tasted fresh, not stale or sour like some other places. I also liked the tzatziki and garlic sauce on top.

"The Beef Doner was great. The ingredients were fresh and of high quality. Additionally, it tasted great. And holy portions Batman! It came in large quantities! However, one problem was the Beef Doner I received was not the item I expected. I expected one of the items it contained to be vegetables, meat and sauce wrapped in a pita. Therefore, either my understanding of the word "donair" is in error or the restaurant got my order wrong. Either way though, the food was so good, even without the large portions, I am giving the restaurant five stars."

Overall, our experience was excellent, and we’re thrilled to have discovered such authentic Turkish cuisine in Vancouver. We’ll definitely be ordering again and highly recommend this restaurant"
"This was horrible. The portions and quality have considerably declined. The Iskender Platter was small and half portion, the meat was rubbery and sauce tasted old. The Sigara Borek - NEW! Tasted like burnt plastic. It will be a long time before I ever order from here again. I hope they fix their issues bc it used to be so good."

"Ordered the fries with garlic sauce, I'm never going back to ketchup again. Also this place gives a generous amount of meat for the price + the sauce is evenly spread throughout the shawarma. Size of the shawarma for me was about the same size as a 24oz Thermoflask (hope that helps)"
