"I wept. We said "oh my god" so many times we probably made the neighbors uncomfortable. Only thing I'm mad about is that we haven't eaten here before. The Bucatini Cacio E Pepe is rich and amazing but simple, like how Alfredo should be. The FT Chicken Parmigiana is the best I've ever had. Are you missing half your teeth? Recovering from a root canal? You could still eat this chicken, it's that tender. The vodka sauce is beautiful, too. The FT Meatballs were bought for tomorrow's lunch but I tested them and they're amazing too. Big enough for a meal for someone who eats less. Take my money again and again please."
"Very flavorful Pappardelle Bolognese although I expected more meat in the sauce. The Avo & Beet Saladcado looked beautiful, but lacked the amount of avocado or beets that would make a plate of greens worth the price. No napkins. No utensils. Dense Bread (unexpected) with no butter."

"Chicken Souvlaki on Pita (Deluxe). Wow. Just wow. Best souvlaki since 2011 in Danbury at a Greek restaurant! Large portion of chicken, real tatziki very flavorful. Fries & a tasty huge pickle too. Really fantastic tender & tasty. I'll get this again. The mozzarella pizza was great as always. Best price anywhere. I love this restaurant."
"Not sure what's happened but my usual Chicken Souvlaki on Pita (Deluxe) was dry, kind of meh this time. my Mozzarella Pizza (Medium 14'') was good. I tried the base pizza but usually add fresh mozzarella. That's phenomenal. Even with a couple of bucks extra it's STILL the best bargain in town. Get the fresh mozza! Everything was fresh & hot. I'll order again because this IS my goto for good italian food. No better bargain & the red sauce is sweet!"

"Where do I even start?! This meal was absolutely incredible. I expected a filet to be tough and likely not the right temperature. It was perfect. Cooked to a perfect mid rare, potatoes are real, asparagus deliciously crisp, and the sauce was to die for. The kids' pasta and broccoli were well received by the 5 and 7 year olds. And last the seafood alfredo - SO fresh, SO tasty, and perfectly sauced. We couldn't be happier with this meal. We will definitely order again."
"I've been craving stuffed mushrooms for months and everywhere I tried. We're disgusting and nothing like true stuffed mushrooms. I loved these mushrooms love the sauce on top. Loved everything about them that I dug in to him so quick I forgot to take a picture."

"Best Italian food in Meriden. Fettuccine Bolognese was fire. Penne Ala Vodka similarly on point. The bread they sent? Crusty, pillowy soft, and flavorful. Garlic Bread With Cheese? THERE'S PIECES OF GARLIC ON THE BREAD! Not just yellow garlic inspired oil. The Steak & Cheese was super good as well. They also followed the special instructions. Always really appreciate that. These guys are top notch and always have been since my childhood!"
"I paid $6.95 for a side of meatballs. I have gotten them before. I only received 1 meatball for $6.95. I was shocked and disappointed. I love Lidos restaurant and order from them often even though there are high delivery fees. I know I won't ever order a side of meatballs again . I hope they don't cheap out on other items too. I don't mind paying more for a nice portion than feeling ripped off."

"Don't let the prices discourage you from ordering. The food & portions are absolutely worth it. Obviously for a place like this, go to the actual restaurant and experience it in person. You most definitely will not be disappointed. I got the Mussels which were fantastic. The sauce they come in is perfect. My wife got the Apple Salad GF which she loves. And we both shared the Calamari Fritti . I also got the Classic Chicken Parmigiana which was good but the sauce from the Mussels was definitely better and actually added the rest of it to my chicken. All of which are super filling and plentiful. Definitely recommend 10/10!"

"The Cheese Pizza - Large 16'' is good! It's a thin crust, but pliable so easy to folding, and there's no char or anything that makes your hands messy. The pizza is cut perfectly and there's crust is chewy. It's very fresh and juicy, some sauce may spill out! The garlic knots are okay - in comparison to most places, this feels more like essence of garlic. So if you're use to a strong emphasis on the garlic, this is not it. But for $3 for 6 knots is good. The food was hot and fresh, and I'd order again."

"Very disappointed in this food. The garlic bread had a terrible after taste and barely had any garlic on it. The mozzarella sticks were barely fried and had no seasoning. They were also soggy. "Fantastic place. I deliver for all of the big food delivery Co's.
That's important because I see & smell & deliver pizza from 90% of the pizza places.
For a truly amazing version of a New York Medium Pizza order from these folks. Period.
In the picture I pulled apart a slice to show the 'goo', but hear this. The best highest quality best pizza mozzarella is not white and stringy, it's a warm yellow cheese with more texture *and* flavor.
Their dough itself is not NY style, it's New Haven thicker more of a bread feel, but they soft bake so the texture of the pie is soft and stretchy and not a blackened blistered crunchy pie. Just my opinion after 67 yrs on the planet New Haven style is great, I just personally never liked it.
Their pizza sauce is naturally sweet, I've been a line chef & I know when a sauce's sweetness is from the highest quality tomatoes, and not from added sweeteners (yes many do that).
The cheese I already said I love, and the sprinkling of oil is the last ingredient in a top-flight New York pizza.
I choose to add basil & fredh tomatoes for a couple of bucks.
The value of this very large 'medium' pie is extreme. Best price in the whole town and the best New York pizza anywhere within the entire area. 10/10"

"Great for gf vegan and other dietary restrictions! Menu is massive, soooo many options! Staff is attentive to dietary needs and great at communicating. Online ordering doesn't allow you to customize but staff is attentive to notes in text box so that you can leave a note about omitting any items. The prices are high but the portions are giant! I ate half my meal for lunch and the rest for dinner! I would definitely recommend coming here!"

"Fettuccine & Broccoli with Alfredo Sauce was pretty decent, I liked it quite a bit. My boyfriend had the Pasta with Meatballs and he was very disappointed about the meatball, said it was really dry and not very good. Extremely large portions tho so keep that in mind. "Was sooooo delicious however it was spilling when it arrived, so it got all over my carpet unfortunately but the food was great and i wasn't expecting the salad and bread it came with so 4.5/5. They added a lot which is worth the money."
"Look I never leave reviews but the spaghetti and meatballs were so overcooked it felt like spaghettios and the sauce didn't cling onto them in the slightest because the sauce was just red water (exaggeration but not far off), cheesecake was frozen but whatever I'll eat later, pizza was fire but so small and very thin for $18 something?!"

"Ordered the Giant Italian from Jersey Mike’s through DoorDash and it came out great. Prosciutto, ham, pepperoni, cheese — loaded up and fresh. The bread was good, the meat was stacked, and everything tasted exactly how it should. Delivery was smooth and the sandwich showed up in good shape. Definitely ordering this one again. 5 stars!"
"The #5 Super Sub was fresh, packed with flavor, and the bread had that perfect soft-but-toasty texture. The #10 Tuna was solid too—nice and creamy, not overly heavy, and tasted fresh.
Also grabbed a Stubborn Soda root beer, which was actually really good—great flavor and a nice change from the usual sodas.
Overall, nothing crazy fancy, but exactly what you want when you need a quick, satisfying meal. Would definitely order again."

"Late night, not many places open, ordered chicken parm, expecting sub-standard, was pleasantly surprised! Great sauce, chicken, arrived hot, enough for lunch the next day. Great late night meal or anytime "
"Gino's was good! The Cheese Pizza (large 16") was classic slightly thinner but not burnt, solid sauce and cheese that was just right. We saw they had Fried Doug and it was fresh and thoughtfully wrapped. But there wasn't enough powdered sugar, they gave us a teeny tiny container for such a large piece of Fried Dough. That's probably my only critique. But regardless, everything was fully fresh, came on time, and I'd probably order here again. They have their own drivers, so just FYI you won't see that part of the screen update when they're on their way, but they did arrive within the estimated timeframe."

"FANTASTIC food from VL (Villa
Lulu).
Bucatini Amitriciana is one of the 4
classic pastas of Rome (along w/
Caccio/Pepe, Gricia & Carbonara).
VL renders a faithful version, with
generous portions of Pork product,
and tomato. The tart tomato is like
the sun, cutting the earthy and
mysterious layering of fat & lean in
the guanciale (pig cheek). The last
piece of the puzzle is the Pecorino
Romano, which represents the
mountain freshness of the shepherd.
All of these ingredients make this
dish the quintessence of Lazio.
Ah, what a noble & unappreciated
animal the pig is. To sacrifice itself
for our dining pleasure.
The Romans recognize this even from
ancient times.
The standard of the 20th Legion was
a Wild Boar.
The grandeur of old Latium & Rome
the eternal.
Hail to Villa Lulu!
(and the 20th -- Valeria Victrix)"
"We have enjoyed meals from Villa Lulu in the past. It has been a whilesince our last order, however. This meal did not, unfortunately, hit all the past high marks. The meals were tepid in temperature. The Linguini Cacio E Pepe was glued together, but tasty. My gnocchi dish was also delicious lovely sauce, toothsome gnocchi. Both pasta dishes were less generous than in the past and given the price. The artichoke appetizer, while generous in quantity, was virtually inedible. The pieces of deep-fried artichoke looked so crispy appealing but tasted neither of artichoke nor the lightly acidic packing liquid. All we tasted was cooking oil. One seemed to get a near mouthful of oil instead of nice vegetal texture and flavor. We each did not finish our portions. The Cannolis were ok. The shell was thick and not soggy. The filing was fresh, nice flavor. They were not presented as is the menu photo. The cannoli were missing the chopped pistachios . Instead a small amount of the nuts were tossed into the serving container.
Food prices are high for restaurants right now, and places are often understaffed. Restaurants are working hardto stay aflo at. We get that. But the issues we experienced tonight could have been better managed."
