one thing that bothers me is their packaging.
it's great heavy duty spill resistant microwave capable.... but they package everything little thing. the gravy that I ordered with the mashed potatoes came separate in its own container the same size as the mashed potato container, but both fit neatly into one.
same with the French toast. two sides of French toast means 4 toasts packaged together. not with Denny's. it means two separately packaged items of the same kind. that was frustrating. my one big meal turned out to be 4 HD plastic trash items. not a fan of the waste I just made bc of their packaging."

"Oh my god that chocolate cake is to die for!! I haven't tried the lemon or german chocolate cakes yet, but believe me when I say that one slice was GOOD!! I don't normally eat cakes because I find them quite meh, but that chocolate cake was moist, held together amazingly well, and the frosting was generous without being too much. The whole cake was chocolatey af but wasn't too sweet because of the dark chocolate elements. Easily one of the best cakes I've ever purchased if not THE best. Will definitely be back before I leave portland. Also, the size of that slice was enough to keep me snacking on it for over an hour while I read a book, it was very thick and almost never ending. "The Haydn Steak Burger was fantastic: cooked exactly how I wanted, white cheddar with fresh vegetables, and the bun cooked prior, giving the inside a nice crisp.
The cakes were, of course, top tier. I personally got the Raspberry Gateau and Passion; I would have also received the marionberry cheesecake, but they were out of it.
I was originally scouting out if the cakes here were worth the price tag for a birthday, and I have to say: these cakes are worth a VERY special occasion. Yes, the pricetag fits the slice; presentation is half the point of a cake, and Hadyn definitely delivers. But it would be overpriced if the taste didn't match. On this point, I underestimated them: they taste BETTER than I thought they would. I don't care for overly sweet cakes with too much sugar, and these cakes are NOT; the ganache is especially complex, with tart raspberries to blend with the bitter dark chocolate of the cake, which is dense, but moist.
Overall, both fantastic cakes. Worth the price."

For $21 dollars just for this single menu item, one would expect a bit better quality control coming out of the kitchen."

"I got the Club with a Caesar salad and an Arnold Palmer. As always, this place absolutely delivers in this picture. It does not do the club justice. I noticed it looked a little burnt, but it's not at all. It's perfect. I have never had an issue ordering from here. They have always been on point every time not to mention so delicious. The only two things I can say is I wish they gave you an option to add an additional dressing to the salad. These meals are huge. I usually split it into two so half for dinner and half for lunch at work the next day and it's hard to split the dressing into two also, I wish they had an option for no ice. Only because I have extremely sensitive teeth when it comes to cold things. I do have to say though now that it's summer, it doesn't take long for the ice to melt so I just wait and it's even better because it's not too sweet. If you have not tried their sandwiches, you were seriously missing out. Their other food is good too, but their sandwiches are where it's at either way. I've never been disappointed."
