"We love Jersey Mike's. It is our go to when a cold sub is wanted. My husband always gets the Roast Beef, hold the cheese and double the meat. They have never sent him anything that was not as he ordered. On the other hand I like to try different sandwiches. I liked #3,5,7,8 and 9. Again, Jersey Mike's sent exactly what I ordered. I usually do an online order so don't see them making our sandwiches. But when I go inside to order I am always impressed with their process. They don't build your sandwich with pre-sliced meat. They slice your meat fresh. Their condiment tubs are filled with fresh ingredients. Jersey Mike's is not as inexpensive as other sub shops. ""Ghost kitchen? More like ghost originality"
Let me start by saying the food itself is fine it tastes decent. But the portion size, pricing, and concept execution are all off.
This location runs a “ghost kitchen” out of Ruby Tuesday under the name Off the Skewer. I’ve ordered from them more than once, and after paying $17.49 for a New Orleans style deconstructed kebab over rice (plus $3.69 for a small side of rice), I finally had to say something.
Here’s the truth: the bed of rice advertised is barely a spoonful. The first time I ordered, I figured it was a mistake this time confirmed it’s intentional. The food doesn’t match the menu photos or the description.
What’s worse, after looking at the menu closely, it’s basically Ruby Tuesday’s menu with a few tweaks. Whoever built this ghost kitchen clearly copy-pasted Ruby Tuesday’s base items, added minor twists like “deconstructed kebabs,” and rebranded it as something new. It’s giving franchise remix, not fresh innovation.
For $22 total, this was disappointing small portion, recycled menu, and zero real New Orleans flavor. I attached photos for proof.
