"First time trying this restaurant. Overall a good experience. The tenders are MASSIVE and are very tasty with a light coating/breading. 5 tenders combo is definitely enough for an adult. On the downside, I found the mac & cheese a very small portion for $4.50 and it was without much flavour and the noodles extremely soft, to the point of dissolving to the touch. Slaw was nice and not overly sauced. Meal was packaged reasonably well for travel and sauce portions were more than reasonable in size and flavourful in taste. Overall a reasonable meal and I will try them again."

With that being said my brain knew a Dave's opened up and somehow got my stomach to crave it so I ordered the top loaded buffalo Mac fries and hot mozzarella sticks. This order has surprisingly changed my mind about this place. Previous times when I've gotten it my mozzarella sticks were not hot and drenched in oil, and my chicken was always just mediocre, only flavor I could taste was just hot nothing else. I worked at a Carl's Jr restaurant in Ventura in the early 1980s, and the food was excellent at that time, but the company was still owned by the Karcher family, so that would probably be one reason why the food was superior.
