"Pros: There was a lot of food, although I did order a lot; and it was still reasonably hot when it arrived. I had the big plate with 3 entrees. The orange chicken was all breading, soft fried and tender with no chicken. The Beijing Beef was really good, tender and flavorful and the red bell pepper and onion were still crisp. The sweet fire chicken breast was good but not enough. Most of the plate was filled with dry fried rice, really bland. Too bad too because the chow mein was really good. The cream cheese Rangoon were just a mouthful of cream cheese but they were crispy and hot, as was the tasty chicken egg roll. A good meal."

"So far I've had the regular Philly and the upgraded Philly. The regular Philly was amazing and perfects toasted bread and portion and fries were crispy and amazing. I ordered the other Philly last night and was a bit disappointed . Bread was a tad soggy in the middle and the flavor lacked compared to the original. The fries were super soft and not seasonsed like before. Was still decent and good portion size but I was surprised because of my first experience. "We tried to order Starbird Chicken once before, but apparently every road in town had decided to become a demolition derby at the exact same time. Accidents everywhere. Traffic chaos. Our chicken dreams were tragically postponed.
But the next night, we gave it another shot — and I am very happy to report that Starbird did not disappoint.
This is easily some of the best chicken I’ve had in a long time. The flavor is excellent, the coating is perfect, and the whole thing tastes like someone actually cared instead of just throwing a bird in a fryer and hoping for the best. Crispy, seasoned, juicy — all the things chicken is supposed to be but too often isn’t.
And the fries? Amazing. The aioli sauce? Dangerous. The truffle fries? Stupid good. Like, “why are fries allowed to be this good?” good.
After the first failed attempt, I was half expecting the universe to keep us from this chicken for a reason. Turns out the reason was just to build suspense.
