"I know we are living through a time of inflation, but the changes to price/portion size at this LaScala location are a little ridiculous. Tonight I ordered a Caprese salad, Rigatoni Vodka, Cheesesteak Pizza, and Lemoncello Limoncello Cake.
The Caprese salad was fine. When I opened the Rigatoni Vodka you could actually see through to the bottom of the container. There was very little sauce, no pancetta, and the portion looked to be almost half the size it was in the past. When I tasted the pasta, the little sauce I had on it was very much lacking in flavor. Almost like they increased the amount of pasta water they added to the dish.
The pizza was also smaller than it had previously been. It was maybe only slightly larger than what would be considered a personal pizza at other restaurants. For the prices being paid, this meal just didn't seem to be worth it. This used to be one of my go-to locations for ordering dinner in a pinch, but it appears that will need to change. "

"The Three-Cheese Chicken Penne has been my Go-To item for about 5 years now and that's no joke. Every time I receive it I have never had a bad or chewy bite of chicken! I feel funny because I pull the chicken pieces out sometimes (not pieces but a long slice) out and I'll eat it and my son says I look like a rabbit bc I just eat it from bottom to top and to THIS DAY I've never had even a chewy piece of chicken!!! It shocks me how I can get THAT good of chicken here and then you'll go somewhere and pay $80 for this expensive upscale restaurant and then I'll be pulling pieces out of my mouth due to it being overly chewy or a piece of fat. Idk! I've got my 12 year old son now hooked on my platter (not good bc now takeout is 2 orders of them instead of a kids meal and saving money lol! Their three cheese penne pasta underneath is ALWAYS so good and creamy I just add a bunch of salt (but that's me people always stare at me using salt and say omg stop that's so much! lol) but I add salt and pepper and it lasts me 2-3 meals out of it I can't eat that much. But my 12 year old son who goes out to eat with my Dad every Thursday houses down adult sized steak meals and he couldn't finish his platter and had enough for lunch the next day. So soft and steamed just right even my 12 year old son loves it. And if he?? Loves broccoli? Something magical is going on haha. Thank you for always making the meals perfect every time. ONE THING I WILL SAY IS I remove the bruschetta on it... it really makes the flavor of the chicken and cheesy penne bland it like wipes out the taste so trust me, no bruschetta on top and it's your new favorite meal!
