"The jerk chicken is always good and the portions are more than enough to enjoy leftovers if I don't finish it all at once."
"An NY transplant who was craving good jerk chicken. The jerk chicken entree hit the spot! Juicy, well-seasoned, chicken. I ordered coconut rice & plaintains as the 2 sides. They gave me rice & peas with plaintain instead. I would have liked to have been notified about the change but I was so satisfied that I didn't care. Sea moss drink is not homemade but decent. Mac & cheese was just ok to me. Could be seasoned more. Carrot cake looks good but I didn't try it yet. Good value. Would recommend for a solid meal with no frills"

"Jamaican Jerk Festival was super flavorful and seasoned. I ordered it with a side of rice but the dough festivals are enough to hold you over. Bun & Cheese was a pleasant surprise. Good balance of cheese with the spicy sweetness of the fruit cake. "
"chicken roti

ric and peas were dry with the peas tasting like pellets they were so hard....i had asked for a side of gravy, they wanted$2 for that so i declined

"Absolutely consistent and flavorful. This restaurant has been my go to being that im leaving the area soon. Always fresh, always packed nice. Great portions. Definitely gonna miss them, some of the best soul food I've had in jersey. My only complaint lol is the cake slices should be bigger but that lemon cake is good."
"100% so good. They didn't have oxtail gravy but the food was still so good. Tastes amazing, portions are good, food is made fresh, and their wings are so delicious! 10/10 I'm ordering again. Definitely worth it. Price is a little high but their deals have been great lately."

"First time trying Violets! The oxtail taste great! I hate when restaurants make it too salty, and this restaurant does NOT do that! They are flavorful, and they have that little sweetness to it that I like! Rice and peas were flavorful and fluffy, and the cabbage was great! the portions are also fair! They weren't skimpy on the oxtail Thank goodness!"
"They gave me oxtail gravy on my rice and peas without me having to put it on the notes for them to do so. I was happy. They did really good. I just wished they gave away more Jerk Chicken tho cuz two wasn't enough but overall, it was real good"

"Food is always good Curry Goat portions and taste great and fresh.
Female workers are very respectful and polite! She even called to ask me if I'd want rice and peas because it's no more white rice . Order again and again"
"They're usually excellent with their orders. For some reason their Oxtail Beef tasted like jerk seasoning which is unusual AND on top of it I ordered a large and was literally given only tiny small oxtail with fat. No large sizes of oxtail and the value was nothing compared to the last time I ordered. Not pleased this time. I sure hope I don't have this issue in the future."

"Food was great! All of the food came fresh. There was plenty of jerk sauce on the chicken and large portions. The Macaroni and Cheese was good but lacked some flavor and was partly dry. The Jerk Chicken itself made it all great. I would definitely recommend this place "
"The brown stew chicken was dry and bland and there was a platter full of rice and 3 small pieces of chicken mostly bone.
The jerk chicken orders both were wrong because they had bbq sauce on both orders and I have a child with sensory sensitivity so they can't eat sauce. The bbq sauce was all over the salad, rice, and chicken. The issue is I requested no sauce and it's an option that was provided to not have sauce."

"2nd time ordering from here. The 1st time, the fish was bland but the black rice was good. This time, everything was bland, not bad but bland. "The quipe was pretty good crunchy on the outside and packed with flavor inside. The Chimichurri de Carne was very disappointing the white cheese and sautéed onions were totally unnecessary. "I have always liked the taste of their food better than any other Jamaican restaurant I've tried in my area:. Only issue is that most times I order, I am missing food. "As a Jacan, Trinis make the best roti period. Glad this restaurant came across my feed. Best roti in this side of town."
"I was so excited to see a TT cafe nearby I just had to try it.
Staring with the Doubles , the pepper had a very spiced mustardy taste, which I loved. I hate when something is just hot for nothing, it was both hot and flavorful. The barra was a little bigger than I'm used to but as a result one was enough. Very pleasant, 8/10.
The bake and Saltfish stole the show honestly. It was still so very hot when it arrived, the bake was quite fresh as well as the saltfish. Pleasantly seasoned. This is going to be my go to. 11/10 please don't ever change this!
The Buss Up was nice, standard. I loved it. Going to go great with my meal tonight.
Lastly the Aloo Pie could've been better. I would've liked to try it without the extra sauces, as the flavors overwhelmed the pie.
I wish the Currant Rolls were in stock, I crave them so bad. Next time though, as I'll surely be ordering again. Thank you to the staff!"

"Best Dominican food in Bayonne.. the sandwiches and small fried appetizers are always amazing. They make the best lemonade. And so affordable. I love this spot."
"I was disappointed with my meal overall. The Pernil / Roast Pork and Tostones were both very dry, and the Jugo de Mango was so tart that it was difficult to enjoy. I also expected more from the Chicken Soup / Sopa de Pollo—it contained one small potato and didn’t feel very hearty.
On a positive note, the Bistec Encebollado / Carmelized Onion Steak was delicious and full of flavor. The rice and beans were also very good, and the Maduros were absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, the dry meats and disappointing soup overshadowed the meal, so I don’t think I’ll be returning."

"Chicken was decent. Priced decently for its portion.
Oxtail tasted good, but keep in mind - the meal's portion is just a bit smaller than the size of a Ben & Jerry's cup of ice cream. I don't think it justifies the $20.00 price."
"Ordered here for the first time tonight & the food was EXEPTIONAL , 10/10 will 100% be ordering again & saving to my favorites . Huge portions of meat , the pernil & Pepper Steak were seasoned phenomenally. The Chicharrones (Crispy Pork Skin) were so tender and flavorful with perfect skin . Everything was incredible !"

"This is my go to restaurant for Brazilian steak. I usually get either the picanha or skirt steak meal with 2 sides. This time I ordered the skirt steak with collard greens and black beans which were delicious as usual. The staff at the restaurant are very nice and care about their customers and will reach out. A woman called me to let me know they were out of grilled vegetables and asked what I'd prefer as a substitute; I chose the black beans.
I also appreciate that the staff actually read and follow the instructions for DoorDash or Uber Eats orders. Every online app order from this place has been correct. I love this restaurant and will continue to order delivery from them."
"The food is flavorful but their sides are not as good empanadas, potatoes salad. French fries, salads, etc.not flavorful just bland, Brazilian sausage are too small for the price. The meats are very good. But a good side to compliment meats are not good."

"I really appreciate the generous portion! The empanadas are huge, and the coffee with caramel is such a delightful touch—thank you for that! The mangu was delicious too! You've truly brightened my morning, and I’m so grateful for all the special details you included."
"I had been craving "cuatro golpes" so I searched on a place in DoorDash that had it and ordered a few other things too. Someone called from the restaurant to let me know that there was not much mangu left for the Cuatro Golpes but he was able to supplement it with some yuca as well which I appreciated. When I got it the golpes was mostly good, except for the eggs---not runny at all, in fact instead of over easy they were boiled solid inside. The rest of the food was not very good. The beef emanada had no spices/flavoring/juiciness---it was full of ground beef but it had an off-putting old & gamey smell & was dry. Cheese Empanada was ok. Morir Sonando tasted like playdough, it was so weird & disgusting that I just threw it out. The Papas Rellenas / Potato Balls & Rellenos de Yuca / Stuffed Cassava Balls both had an odd sour/vinegar-y taste though the yuca one wasn't as bad. Maduros were ok. "
