Penne Alla Vodka- news flash! There should be prosciutto in there. Rule one at an Italian restaurant is make sure you know how to boil pasta. Mushy, terrible and embarrassing. The best thing was the Rustica which I thought would be the issue. Get it together people. Oh I almost forgot the bread, stale.. and I'm a gavon so I always dip in the sauces when I'm eating. The Fried Calamari is crispy, not very oily, and has substance. Topping it off with lemon makes it pop. The sauce is robust, sits on the tongue well, and is juicy without being very acidic at all. I wish there was a way to order or include more.
The Pear Salad is fresh and balanced. The pears taste like Christmas, the candied walnuts are fun, and the lettuce and gorgonzola are crisp and fresh. The dressing is great but not necessary with all the above elements. It is a personal choice.
Portions are great. My partner and I are were able to split both items and have leftovers for the day after.
