"Food is always good Curry Goat portions and taste great and fresh.
Female workers are very respectful and polite! She even called to ask me if I'd want rice and peas because it's no more white rice . Order again and again"
"They're usually excellent with their orders. For some reason their Oxtail Beef tasted like jerk seasoning which is unusual AND on top of it I ordered a large and was literally given only tiny small oxtail with fat. No large sizes of oxtail and the value was nothing compared to the last time I ordered. Not pleased this time. I sure hope I don't have this issue in the future."

"This place is as beautiful and the food is amazing! The chicken was so juicy and tasty. Plantains were fresh, perfectly salted, and crisp. I wish the rasta pasta was a little less dry. Overall, amazing and pretty plating, I didn't even wanted to ruin the presentation. "
"The Jerk Chicken had great flavor and a nice smoky char, but it was on the dry side, and chopping it up left a lot of small, tough, bony pieces. If it weren't for how many bony pieces I received, I'd say this was a good portion for the price.
The rice and peas was a real letdown. It tasted completely unseasoned, and I unfortunately got stuck with clumps from the bottom of the pot that were dry, mushy, and devoid of any coconut or herbal flavor. The house jerk sauce had a decent tang and helped rescue the dry chicken, but overall, it missed the mark.
Would I order again? Maybe, but there are better places for jerk chicken so not anytime soon"

"Wow! I ordered a large Jerk Chicken Dinner and it was excellent! The portion size was perfect, the chicken was made to perfection, Rice and beans were authentic (not out the box) cabbage and plantains were superb. I had scrolled past this restaurant on door dash for years and never ordered from there, I'm glad I took a chance. Worth every dollar, I didnt get cheated as some place do. "The platters were sooo good and seasoned to perfection!!! Nice portons. The Stewed chicken special and the Curried Chicken Roti the flavor is on point, hands down 5 stars in regard to flavor. The only negative issue (but not so negative) I would have to say wouldbe that I would have preferred chicken pieces in the roti to not have the bones, lol. I was enjoying it so much when I went to bite down, I bit into a large bone. So had to remove the bones. Overall, hands down a must try. I will be ordering again. They were sold out of the Pound Cake but did offer me a coconut as replacement. The coconut cake is pretty good also."
"This was my first time ordering from Island Spot and to be honest I was scared. It's the fourth Caribbean restaurant I've tried and I was worried because of past experiences.
The way the carefully wapped the food was impressive. I have not seen that. The mixed steamed veggies were not soggy but crunchy and flavorful. The Medium Curried Chicken was a nice portionfor the price and very good. The rice and peas was fresh and wasn't dry or soggy, just right.
Although they delivered quicker than the estimated 30 mins, the food was a bit cold. I was also unable to choose between white rice or rice and peas, which I found odd. "

"Food was great! All of the food came fresh. There was plenty of jerk sauce on the chicken and large portions. The Macaroni and Cheese was good but lacked some flavor and was partly dry. The Jerk Chicken itself made it all great. I would definitely recommend this place "
"The brown stew chicken was dry and bland and there was a platter full of rice and 3 small pieces of chicken mostly bone.
The jerk chicken orders both were wrong because they had bbq sauce on both orders and I have a child with sensory sensitivity so they can't eat sauce. The bbq sauce was all over the salad, rice, and chicken. The issue is I requested no sauce and it's an option that was provided to not have sauce."

"Ate it too fast to take pictures, but... the Oxtail fell off the bone just like it should, and the rice and peas were delicious. It was a massive portion of food, too. Well worth the price.
The Macaroni & cheese wasn't creamy the way I prefer it, but it was cheesy and flavorful. All around -- very good, very filling."
"10/10 for the Rasta Pasta (Shrimp & Jerk Chicken) , and the Chicken Soup. Both were extremely flavorful, chicken was juicy, and proportions were amazing. Tried this place on a whim, and would order again!"

"Amazing the OXTAILS was cooked to perfection ! Not hard falling off the bone ! Great value ! This will be my new spot they gave enough oxtails between 8-9 pieces which is great ! "
"I have always liked the taste of their food better than any other Jamaican restaurant I've tried in my area:. Only issue is that most times I order, I am missing food. They run out after I've ordered and they just scratch that off the order and deliver the rest. I am not aware of the deletion until the food arrives. Very disappointing! Same thing today, but in addition I ordered a large and there was not very much food in the container."

"This was a very good sized portion of very good food. I ordered the ackee and salt fish breakfast plate that also came with 2 pieces of yams, some plantains and a boiled banana and dumpling. Ackee cooked very well with great flavors. Additionally I ordered saltfish fritters. They were tasty and big enough for a meal/ snack on there own. Lastly I ordered 2 more fried dumplings. This meal will last into lunch for me as well. I plan to order again, enjoy!"

"Very good. I thought the large would of been a little bigger than it was but other than that the food is great. Just enough seasoning and the dumplings are good tasting and good for the dipping in the gravy."
"I ordered fried saltfish and asked in the special instructions if I could substitute provisions and boiled dumplings for rice and beans. Someone from the restaurant called to let me know that was fine but they were a little low on saltfsh and would I be ok if they mixed it with callaloo and I said yes. Well I will be asking for that again and referring this restaurant. Food was PERFECTION. Food is fresh, well prepared, flavorful (not salty, FLAVORFUL) portions are well worth the price, and the customer care is top rate. Thank you Ma'am"

"I'm here from a different state , whenever I go to another state. I always make it my business to taste Haitian food. Magela's your tomtom gumbo is delicious, very flavorful, 10/10 . Next time I'm in town, I will definitely buy it again. The goat meat are way too big for me and I did not get any pikliz which makes it hard for me to eat the goat because it's not spicy. The same for the pig ears. The plantain is not fried to perfection. They are big and not crispy but tasty. If you had sent me one little pikliz my taste buds would have been happier. I will definitely recommend Magela's to my friends and families. By the way I saw that the pikliz was $2+ but I thought that was for extra, I don't know any Haitian restaurant that serves food without pikliz. I will make sure to add pikliz next time. The Akra was not too flavorful but eatable."
"Been craving Haitian food for a while, and I’m so glad I found this spot in East Orange, NJ. The food is fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Portions are generous, more than enough and the prices are very reasonable. This was my second order, and it’s officially my go-to spot whenever I’m in town."

"The Garlic Salmon is to die for and the packaging was sooo cute. The food was so juicy and was packed with Salmon it was worth the cost"
"They were very kind enough to allow us to make a purchase after closing. The empanadas are very large and filling. The Garlic Salmon with Cheese was tasty but a little too salty. The Oxtail Empanada was not my fav I would prefer chucks of oxtail and not a more paste texture. I will return and try other flavors."

"These are the good old school oxtails with the sticky gravy, not to mention the rice is already moist to the point you can eat it without extra gravy! Yummy!"
"I am working my way through the menu and everything I have tried so far is very flavorful. The portions are substantial and the prices are better than the competitors.
The barbecue chicken has more of a bar-b-fried vibe, which makes it even better in my opinion."

"delicious Curry Goat and the Pine Tart was awesome!"
"I ordered a small callaloo and saltfish with fried dumplings. The dumplings were very hard and I was not able to chew them, and there was hardly any saltfish. The meal was also very small for the price (see photo). So considering this along with the fact that there was almost no saltfish and the dumplings were inedible, I don't feel I received my money's worth."

"After a stressful day at work, I wanted soul food and found Crabbae on IG. Mac n cheese very creamy and cheesy and it wasn't salty! Greens very seasoned and the whitening flavor has a nice after taste! The shrimp were juicy! And the juice was sweet and tasted very lemonady but not very much mango in the mix! But over 10/10"
"Oxtail entree is delicious!!! First time ordering from Crabbae and it was delicious and a good portion for the price. Oxtails were well seasoned. My son loved the Catfish Entree as well."
