Sundays order was tacos with a very delicious Tres Leches cake. Today was beef FLAUTAS (4) with some rice and beans. They were delicious and surprisingly moist. As a sailor stationed in San Diego back-in the day we had a go to called Aldeburtos on Rosecrans St. el Tony's flautas brought back those fond memories. It comes with two round aluminum pans, both refried beans covered lightly in cheese and Mexican rice (which is another one of personal favorites. They also come with two sauces (BE CAREFUL). The Verde sauce is nice, tiny kick, and pleasantly fits well with the carnitas. The brownish salsa ..well..it's something. There is no need to act tough or brave with this stuff. It is extremely hot, and I learned the hard way after taking at least 1/4 a teaspoons of it that I may never feel anything again.
I was crying, and I could barely say]] "oww." After noticing my light whimper, my bf tried it just to end up feeling the same. I watched his eyes grow larger and with build pain. Suddenly, we were fanning our faces like it was 100 degrees and we had no AC. The moral of the story is that if you lLOVE 9-10/10 HEAT the the brown salsa is for you. If you value flavor over heat or simply dont like strong heat spicy foods, the GREEN VERDE SAUCE is for you.
