"Soup was lukewarm warm with a big lump of melted cheese mixed with wontons on top and tasted like they scraped it from the bottom of the pot.
The salad had nothing but hard iceberg lettuce a few tomatoes and two pieces of green leaf lettuce.
The lettuce had brown around the edges so I know it wasn't fresh. This is definitely not the Chili's quality or taste I have come to love over the years. Very disappointing. I'm not sure if we will order again. This is the third or fourth time something like this happens."

"I got the chicken Empanadas. If you've never had one or are just curious, go ahead and get them. If you have had empanadas before, you're in for a treat. These are deliciosa. And the slaw? Highly recommended.
I'll try the ground beef empanadas next. If they are as good as the chicken, I've found my favorite Mexican food. I'd say restaurant but it's basically a store(by McDonald's).
You get three large empanadas. They were much bigger than I had anticipated. They were perfectly fried and the interior was still hot enough after traveling to burn my tongue. I cannot say enough good things about these guys. Everything was fresh and flavorful.

"LOVE this place! The pizza sauce he makes is the closest thing I've had to authentic Italian in the US. The dough for pizza and stromboli is perfect! You can tell that it's made from scratch. Everything always tastes fresh and full of flavor!
And the Hot Fudge Cosmic Cheesecake ... it's the best dessert I've had in years! My parents and sister came to visit from North Carolina a few months ago, and they had me order a whole cheesecake for them to take home. If you haven't tried it, do yourself a favor and order a slice.

"The ribs and sausage were really good. You don't need extra bbq sauce at all. The potato salad was slightly sweet which i'm not used to but it went well with the other sides slight kick. The rice dressing, that wasn't rice dressing, that was DIRTY RICE. It was soooo seasoned without going overboard. The baked beans were sooo goooodd. The plate was hefty. There was enough food to eat twice and be satisfied. I will order from them again. Hopefully I can try their fried fish soon. Overall 9/10"
"I order the 3 meats it came with a chicken leg quarter ribs and a pork chop. And it didn't disappoint. Everything was cooked to delicious perfection!! Hands down the best rice dressing in New Iberia. Ribs were tender and the porkchops were juicy. "

"I'm a sucker for decent Mexican food. I've only found a couple around New Iberia that are worth the bother. El Mariachi is one such place. I've NEVER had a bad meal from them.
Tonight's repast was 51. Enchiladas Tradicionales. It comes with beans and rice and a small guac salad. The enchiladas are covered in green sauce which I find to be more flavorful and complex. This is much closer to traditional than most of the Gringo-ized Mexican restaurants in town.
This is a good restaurant deserving of patronage. I don't say this lightly. I'm a retired chef with many years in the business. As Aw-node is known to say, "I'll be back.""
"Today's meal wasn't up to their regular standards. But, as far as I'm concerned, it's a one-off issue.
The 43. Tamal Mexicano plate offers tamal, chili relleno and an enchilada like piece. The tortilla seemed as though it saw a little too much time in the connection oven. It was crispy in places. The chili relleno has part of the cooked batter stuck to the lid which ripped immediately as I opened it. Regardless, the taste was still superior to other restaurants who lean far more Americanized than traditional Mexican.
The 50. Enchiladas Dinner has rice and beans, something the tamal plate sadly lacks. While the tamal plate is my go to, the enchiladas are my secondary choice.
I like this place and will keep going back."
