"This is the best food of its kind in Ottawa. So fresh, so delicious, and the Saj is the best I've ever had! Five stars all the way!"
"The Falafel (2) were so good! Best ones I've eaten so far! Everything was so fresh and I absolutely demolished those Tandoori Chicken Shawarmas. Good portions on the shawarmas and I will definitely recommend again. The packaging is also very smart so you won't have to deal with messy eating."

"Little pricy vs before but tasty food"
"I genuinely do not understand the ratings for FEZ Shawarma. Before my order was even prepared, I called and asked if I could switch my order to the Saj Platter, which was actually cheaper than the plate I originally ordered. I was told no, even though it would have cost them less.
Then the food arrived and somehow got even worse. I left specific instructions, and none of them were followed. My plate showed up with no hummus, no garlic sauce, barely any potatoes, no pita bread, and a pile of dry, disgusting meat.
Seriously, how do you give somebody a shawarma plate with no hummus and no garlic sauce? Those are basic parts of the meal. Instead, I got a container full of dry meat, about four potatoes, and no pita bread. It was incomplete, poorly prepared, and felt like nobody cared what was being sent out the door.
The customer service was just as disappointing as the food. I called ahead to make a simple change to a cheaper platter and was told no. Then the order arrived missing half of what makes a shawarma plate a shawarma plate.
They should be ashamed of the quality they’re serving customers. I’ve ordered shawarma from plenty of places in Ottawa, and this was easily one of the worst experiences I’ve had. Shawarma Palace is a million times better in terms of quality, portions, and consistency. Save your money and order elsewhere."

"I ordered the chicken over rice and my daughter had the lamb over rice with their white sauce as we have dubbed it the :Oh God" sauce. The meat was moist flavorful and seasoned to perfection. The rice was done perfectly, flaky indicidual pieces not slumped together like some places you could tell it was made fresh. The salad was a wonderful accompanying factor as well. I tried the hot sauce with mine and it was spicy, flavorful and perfect with the chicken. This is now our go to place for fresh, fast and delicious food that fills us up nicely. A must go to place for a beautiful meal. Side note I tried the falafel and its was ridiculously good as well. "

"I think the value of this meal was great for the amount of food you get but at the same time, I wish there was more meat. I got maybe 7 pieces of chicken in the entire bowl I got. Otherwise it tasted very good and the vegetable quality was great. I don't think I would get this again unless I got a 2 for 1 deal because it doesn't feel worth $17."
"This is too good and a pretty good portion for this deal of buy 1 get 1. I put sweet sauce on mine and I do not regret It.

"The portions are huge and they're very generous with their toppings. The lokmas themselves kind of taste like a churro without the cinnamon sugar, super yummy!"
"The lokmas were fantastic! Light and airy but still hearty enough to hold the sauce drizzle on top, they were a lot more like the Greek loukoumades I remember from my childhood than I thought.
They aren't *filled* like the treats from my childhood, but that really isn't an issue when you can top them with so many things.
I went for the salted caramel and the limited edition bueno topping and got 5 of the former and 7 of the latter, but because I was splitting them with my mother anyways, that just meant she got to try both, so no issue there.
The kogo looked just like the korean corn dogs I'd seen on youtube, so how could I resist ordering one? The crispy potato add-on was just what it said on the tin: crispy, and after a couple bites (then adding a little ketchup and yellow mustard of my own) I devoured it hungrily. Didn't slip of the skewer even once and went perfectly with the lokmas, as funny as that might sound.
I'd definitely get it again in future, so I'd recommend it, too! Looking forward to trying them in-person the next time I'm in the area."

"It is generally poor value for your money. I ordered the shrimp curry and there were seven pieces of shrimp in a thin sauce. The paneer at least had a sauce with some substance, but there were 8 pieces of paneer in total. Even if you sharing with just two people, that's four or less pieces each. "The 129. Paneer Makhni was pretty good, tasted very fresh, and the rice was perfect. The proportions for those two items were good. "I got the very same thing every time I visit Ottawa Shawarma.
It is consistently fresh delicious and perfectly made. I savour every bite!
They also graciously cut it into for me each time as I always get a large sandwich.
I would give them 10 stars if that were an option. The portion size is just perfect."
"I have been a client of Ottawa Shawarma since they opened.
I won't put in writing how many times I've been though, lol! But I can confidently tell you that they know me well enough to recognize that I would like my large sandwich cut into when I order. Depending upon who is prepping my food, they remember or there's a moment of recognition when I make the request, like this is the lady who's in here so very much!
The staff always warmly welcome me and the food is always exceptional. Consistently delicious, so fresh and generous with both the chicken and the veggies on my chicken sandwich.
I must confess that I don't know anything about their other selections as I only ever get the very same thing.!
On occasion, I also get their supremely tasty potatoes with garlic sauce and it is bliss. I save every bite.
I don't go to any other Shawarma place even though there are a few between my house and this location.
I know five stars is a high rating, but I would give them 10! Once you try their Shawarma, you won't want anyone else's!
I absolutely love Ottawa Shawarma.
I see that they like a photo of the food, but it never lasts long enough for me to take a picture."

"The portion has become way more generous since the last time I ordered form here. Zereshkpolo with chicken leg still tastes awesome and the sauce that comes along with the chicken is still great. I love that they provide a little tahdig with the rice.

"The chicken suya wrap wasn't Suya but rather grilled chicken breast. It was nice and juicy though and felt like something from home. The Jollof rice was absolutely delicious. Loved it! "
"Plantain portion is so small, for plantain that is less than $0.80 per stalk, it's so ridiculous that they would stuff the box with paper, not seen in the photo, and then give you the equivalent of 2 plantains. For $10.99 considering plantain takes 3-5 mins of frying, it's laughable. And the plantain isn't even sweet. Wouldn't embarrass myself ordering this again."
