The cream sauce has the texture of melted cheese that has cooled and congealed into a mass... but it was still hot.I was able to lift it out of the plate and dangle the chunk of sauce without it falling apart. What do I like about it? #1 is that they use a loose granola instead of the clumpy honey-based kind. Makes it much lighter and doesn't have the overwhelming honey taste (or extra sugar). There isn't a bunch of added sugar to the base. The Nutella thankfully isn't drizzled on top - it's in the the middle which slightly hardens its consistency which is amazing! My Cuban isn't greasy at all, all of the meat tastes fresh, even the bread had just the right amount of push to it. The homemade sauce has just the right amount of dill and the coleslaw is an excellent clean option, truly I'm astounded. The sandwich is beyond flavorful, the pickles they chose, unlike so many Cuban sandwiches I've tried, accent the flavor rather than overpower it, and the sandwich is nearly greaseless so it tastes clean! I have ordered it twice in the last couple of weeks from the Clinton Highway location which is the same location from which Door Dash picked up the order. This allowed me to compare the exact same item prepared by the same store.
The orders I picked up from the restaurant were amazing. The order delivered by Door Dash was extremely disappointing. The tortillas were very dark and tasted burnt. I paid for extra tomatoes and feta, however the roll-ups were basically flat and did not have much filling.
I know using food delivery services increases the cost. I am only including the cost here just to show that difference. Purchased directly from the restaurant, the total cost is $13.08. The cost using Door Dash is $25.63 making the Door Dash order $12.54 more expensive."
