I definitely recommend eating in person as the rolls are more reasonable for the price. 510. Super Dynamite Roll has only had 5 rolls. For $40 I expected more."

"Great value for the Teriyaki Beef Deluxe Dinner. You get teriyaki, rice, mini salad, sashimi, sushi, gyoza, and tempura! Thats a lot compared to other bento box style offerings at other restaurants. Good quality salmon sashimi. Only thing is that their tempura sauce is a bit too sweet for me.
The Rainbow Roll was standard and good.
The only downside is that their Beef Udon wasnt the best. Inwouldnt get it again. Since they packaged it all together, the beef was a bit overcooked and tough. I've seen other restaurants separate the soup and noodles/meat in delivery orders to avoid this. The broth wasn't bad, it just wasn't anything unique or tasty "

"I never do Public Reviews just rate with the number of stars. I felt so obligated as the food are exceptional, to say the least. First time trying the place so I ordered the regular Bento Box. I wasn't expecting too much but to fill my stomach. The food came and the quality was surprising, not to forget it was bento box of tempura and teriyaki. So amazingly fresh and so good. "I'm confused by someone else complaining about "super sticky rice" in the sushi rolls. Sticky rice is a necessity for good sushi - it helps the sushi not fall apart when you pick it up. Joy Sushi's sushi rice is *excellent*, whether it's in a roll or in a poke bowl as a base - even the brown sushi rice! It's both flavorful and satisfyingly sticky.
All of my family members (parents, sisters, brothers-in-law, nieces) love Joy Sushi. In particular, we love the Poke Bowls. With a myriad of options to customize your own Poke Bowls and no shortage of ingredients provided, the Poke Bowls are excellent value for the money. My go-to: half-half mixed greens/sushi rice base, albacore + salmon for protein, all of the toppings (except onions + green onions), white sauce, add tamago. (Their white sauce is SO GOOD.) 1 Poke Bowl usually makes for 2 generous meals!
I also love their rolls. The Shrimp Tempura Roll deal on DD is super worth it. I also love the Lion King and Sun Shine Rolls.
The menu is diverse and has options for a wide variety of tastes. Highly recommend! One of my fav San Mateo and DoorDash spots."

"Ugh, I'm obsessed with the Mentai Cream Sauce Udon at Udon Mugizo. So flavorful, unique, and perfectly portioned. I usually get it in store, but saw Udon Mugizo is on DD and thought'd get it to compare.
Packaging is great! The container has the udon noodles in the bottom and an inset plastic tray with the toppings, like the crispy tempura bits, so they don't get soggy during delivery. Soup is in a separate container too. At first, I thought the portion was smaller than in-store, but I was wrong: just as much food, and just as delicious.
Highly recommend! I still prefer going in store for the friendly staff and their outdoor patio, but the DD experience doesn't disappoint!"

"I got a roll with purple on top and I guess some like caviar. AMAZINg. good texture, smooth, creamy, melts in your mouth. There's on with whitesauce on top. Creamy, rich. Very good! Not a lot of sushi places around i can say this for. It's very intricate. I don't normally do reviews either "
"I thought there were 3 shrimps, I can be wrong but definitely not worth the price for 2 shrimps. Oyster were delicious and Spider Roll is good. We didn't get any wasabi or soy packets. Now I know why it's on the menu. It's a shame that the world we live in starts charging condiments that use to complementary. For now we will have to stop ordering from this place."

"The portion size of 957. Wagyu Sukiyaki (A LA CARTE) was NOT worth over $30 ($38 after tax and fees). It filled only half of a small takeout container. Less than what you would get for a ramen or udon dish and way more expensive. The dish wasn't even cooked that well. It tasted okay, but it was a little salty and oily and the beef slices were cooked in clumps so it was as though i ate 3-4 meatballs and the centers were slightly rarer. It came with miso soup on the side which, as miso soups go, wasn't even that good. Needed more dashi. Wouldn't order again."
