"If you haven't had their biscuits before you have to try them. They are flaky on the outside and soft on the inside. You can peel them apart in layers. The Sausage Egg and Cheese Biscuit Sandwich is a great way to enjoy their biscuits. It's a lot of food for one sandwich. I like the egg, but I know some are not fond of the texture. They add a good layer of cheese, a piece of sausage, and the onion jam to complete the sandwich. I am not a huge fan of the onion jam, but that's just a personal preference. However, it does balance out the richness of the sandwich. The sausage isn't too greasy, and has a balanced flavor that isn't overbearing. Their Pain au Chocolat is amazing. It wasn't as flakey as usual, but it was still good. It reminds me of the ones you get in Europe. There is a small amount of chocolate within it, but it's enough to balance out the pastry. And the chocolate they use has a creaminess to it. The buttery flaky bread can stand on its own, so you don't need an overload of chocolate. This is good heated or not. The Ham and Cheese Roll has the same flaky texture as the Pain au Chocolat. Both the cheese and ham are flavorful and add a good amount of saltiness to the flavor. Last, the Olive Ciabatta is amazing. It's head and shoulders above the olive breads you can pick up in the grocery stores. The large green olives are abundant, the crust is hard, but has some give, and the inside is soft. You can eat this plain and it's perfect, or top it with cheese, etc. Either way, it's really good. "

"I've been really wanting scrambled eggs, but the 3 times I've ordered them from here they've been wildly inconsistent. First: little flakes of hard scrambled eggs; Second: 3 large balls of hard scrambled egg clumps; Third: plain omelet that was still runny, that I had to cook some more before I could eat it. I like well-cooked eggs, so I wish they'd put an option for if you like hard-cooked or soft-cooked scrambled eggs (or other styles). I also prefer scrambled eggs to be clumpy and not smooth omelet style. If I wanted an omelet, I'd order an omelet. The first Matcha Green Latte I ordered from here was very fresh tasting. But this time it was very normal tasting and in a small cup--it's not worth the high price. The Kashmiri Pink Chai came topped with pistachios this time, and was very comforting but lukewarm and didn't have a stopper in the top, so it spilled a bit. "I dont know if it's the "Tuesday" chef, but everything I got was mediocre at best.
I usually get the Ultimate Fish and Chips, and I'm always excited to see that big piece of fish, but it just was not good. The batter, which is usually light and crispy, was thick and chewy, the inside of the batter where the fish is was just uncooked. The batter was like a thick piece of fabric. It came off the fish in one piece and FOLDED. The batter pulled away from the fish as soon as I cut it. The fish inside was fine. I ate that on its own. Can I also say that while we got a couple of little containers of tartar sauce for the fish, they were only halfway filled. Not enough for the fish.
The Shepherds Pie, which is usually pretty good, was a bit tinny, very metallic in taste. For the price of this dish, it was not done well—as well as I have had it here in the past.
Buffalo wings were good. No problem there.
Salad was good as well.
All in all, for spending over $100 for dinner, I don't think I got my money's worth.
