"Although I have already left a glowing review of the cream cheese wontons, the Luc Lac must be also addressed in glowing terms. Adding the dressing to the meat and salad works wonders, and I highly recommend the extra meat, as marinating in the dressing overnight adds phenomenal flavor, and is actually delicious cold. Definitely will always be a favorite with the wontons, but look forward to trying other items, as everything is, as a friend of mine would say, next level, top notch."

"Current available reviews are mostly three years old. I was able to call the store and explain I have celiac disease, no wheat no batter. I've never had this dish so it was very under described. He called me and asked my preference. It is fresh, has wonderful flavor. I see areas of broccoli over ripe and a couple leaves that are near expiration. I don't mind he's not wasting food! I prefer he not. I set mine up in two different bowls, one more like a salad and then the glass noodles are separate and I still have almost half this soup broth I can add. There are two different flavor packets for your preference, and of course, what we have at home. I wanted to show the packaging to show the care he took for separating items. Even the greens that go over the glass noodles. This was well worth this price. This is gonna be my go to now and it's way too much food for me right now. But I'm sure you're gonna do my best. That being said, when our order was delivered, we opened up the packaging to find barely a tablespoon of beef in each of our pho meals (no exaggeration either!) and not a whole lot of noodles either. And paying nearly $17 for each bowl of this yummy pho, I am a little bummed out that this restaurant skimped on the beef (which there is no denying that they did). Because without the beef in this dish, your just getting noodles, a handful of bean sprouts, a pinch of onions and some basil leaves. They need to add more sustenance to this delicious dish to make it worth the price they are asking. "
"Normally I love Butterfly Belly, I'm not sure if they were just having an off night or what, but my concerns started when the dasher messaged me they had to wait an extra half an hour to pick up the food because the server was playing guitar instead of tending to customers, seating people acknowledging he was there, etc.
When we got the food, they packaged it so poorly that the Thai tea had exploded all over the items in the bag & soaked everything in tea, making it inedible. Even if that hadn't happened, the food itself was nowhere near the quality it usually is. There was hardly any meat in anything, the lettuce wrap mix was mostly just onions & grease. There was no sauce at all in the vermicelli, and the egg rolls were dripping in grease.
I don't know what changed, I've never had this experience before at Butterfly Belly, it was extremely disappointing. This has long been one of my favorite restaurants in Portland, so i don't know if this was just an off night, but I really hope they can figure out what happened and address these issues in the future. "Get the salmon belly expeditiously! My favorite dish here 100/10 it's usually my go to, plus the waterfall beef, Nam khao and the beef jerky! My kids and I also get the beignets when we have a sweet tooth. Must get the ube sauce to dip it just elevates it we like to get the chocolate or pandan sauce too.
