"Always my go to item and store when I want some African food! The Cassava Leaf With Rice has a great amount of meat and it's tender and full. I love the spices, clears my nose right up! The Plain Plantain are semi sweet and go great with the Cassava Leaf With Rice. Love the side of spice they give you with the Plain Plantain"
"Palava Sauce With fufu was so awesome and flavorful. Peanut Butter Soup With fufu was also good and flavorful. Plain Plantain was just right for both soups. Woodland Ave always gets it right the first time. Thank you for being consistent. See you this weekend."

"Their GB is the best I've ever had from a cold bowl shop hands down. I don't even leave reviews but they did their big one!"
"I decided to get this place to try after I saw the reviews, but the food was horrible not gonna lie. I eat African food all the time and this place was not it for me. The taste was strong like it just was not a good balance of herbs used, and the palm oil taste like motor oil. I would not order from here again. "

"After trying the seafood potato greens the first time I wanted to order it again this time the portion was in a smaller container with less meat and seafood. I just wish they would've kept it the same for their price. I'm still satisfied very flavorful and so good just stick to the original round bowls. Here's a picture of the new square bowl which give you less food. Then next to it I have the original bowl that I fell in love with."

"Really good food! Good price/portion! The jollof rice could be more flavor but the sauces on the side made up for that. Chicken was super tender and well seasoned. Plantain was cooked to perfection! And I love the addition of the pasta salad on the side, it pairs well, very refreshing! "

"Fried Plantain was soooo plentifu the whole container was filled and it was just sweet enough for my liking! Touba Yassa came with a whole quarter chicken and a full container of rice with the marinated onions on the side and it was so good omg i will definitely be ordering again soon!!"
"This was my first time ordering from this restaurant, and unfortunately, it will probably be my last. I was really disappointed with the food. The platter was so overly spicy that all I could taste was heat—I couldn’t enjoy any of the actual flavors. It was so spicy that I ended up leaving the entire platter and all of the rice untouched.
The fish was edible, but it was very bland and lacked seasoning or flavor. It’s frustrating to spend money on a meal that I couldn’t even enjoy.
The one positive thing I can say is that the portions were very generous. Unfortunately, a large portion doesn’t make up for food that isn’t enjoyable to eat. I really think this meal could have been much better."

"The food is delicious. The shrimp are jumbo sized. I love her jollof rice. I got extra because it wasn't enough on the platter I bought. The only thing I didn't like is the sauce she puts on the meat. It's a sweet chili sauce and it takes away from the African spices. "

I tried the Egusi & Fufu, Peanut Butter Soup, and Cassava Leaf, and everything was SO good! The flavors were rich, authentic, and perfectly seasoned. The fufu paired so well with the soups, and the peanut butter soup had such a delicious, comforting flavor. The cassava leaf was flavorful and satisfying too!
Everything tasted homemade and full of love. Definitely a meal I’d order again! 😋❤️"

"Everything was absolutely tasteful, I ordered the Okra Soup with fufu ( I think Yam( it was a purple ish color) amazing food, amazing service i will be com back regularly"
"I alway appreciate a detailed review.
The Gbegiri & Ewedu was on point—taste, meat assortment… chef’s kiss. (Ibadan inastraite/Skye Bank amala spot level approved… if you know, you know. I’m not even going to get started on Lagos spots) The flavor of the stews, the consistency of the gbegiri and amala… hnmmmm... joyyyyy....all my senses were awakened. The assorted meat....everything about this was fantastic. The portions were good, and I already know what I’ll be ordering the next time I come to Philly.
However, the jollof rice was disappointing… My 12 yr old can make better in her sleep. It was undercooked (and I do not eat soft rice) and tasted like someone just threw some oil, red coloring, salt, and rice into a pot. I’ll give the benefit of the doubt that the order was later in the day, because for a place that makes such amazing Gbegiri & Ewedu, and had great reviews for their Jollof rice, this must be an anomaly. When I visit Philly again, I’ll order it one more time to confirm."

"I recently had the pleasure of ordering at Fork n Fingers African Restaurant, and it was an extraordinary experience from start to finish.
The menu offers a delightful array of authentic Nigerian dishes, each bursting with flavor and expertly prepared using the finest ingredients. I particularly enjoyed the jollof rice, which was perfectly seasoned and accompanied by tender, succulent pieces of grilled chicken. The Dun Dun, peppered snail, peppered ponmo and suya were another highlight, offering a tantalizing blend of spices that left my taste buds dancing with delight.
Overall, Fork N Fingers African Restaurant exceeded my expectations in every way. Whether you're a seasoned connoisseur of Nigerian cuisine or new to the flavors of West Africa, I highly recommend treating yourself to a meal at this exceptional restaurant. It's an experience you won't soon forget!"

"This is some of the best Ethiopian food I've had in Philly. I like the fact that it's not all super spicy & you have the option of ordering mild dishes. Everything is very flavorful (regardless of heat level) & the injera is perfect. I've eaten in the restaurant & gotten delivery & it's been good every time."
"So, so good. I could live off of the foul medames alone. The base chicken injera wrap is well-priced and holds its own against items from places like Chipotle in terms of macros. It comes great everyyyy single time.
Fresh, great food with fairly priced portions. Like... you can tell that even the tomatoes used in the stews are quality here. That's what's up.
Hope that the prices hold steady so I can keep ordering several times a week (at this time ~$8 chicken injera, ~$9 foul medames) Love love love this spot."
