"Everything was AMAZING the portion size was large, they plenty of their Garlic Naan which I haven't tasted better before. The Chicke Tikka Masalan was even better, I could taste all the spices and seasoning truly amazing. Highly recommend to everyone"
"Extremely disappointing — not worth the price
The portions are extremely small for the price. The “Lamb Biryani” was nothing like biryani—it was essentially soggy curry rice. The rice was overly soft and had very little flavor, with only about 7 small pieces of lamb and roughly 100 g of rice in the portion.
The tandoori chicken was even more disappointing. I eat relatively low-salt food, but even I found this incredibly bland. There was barely any seasoning or salt. It honestly tasted like the chicken had been dipped in colored water, steamed, and then briefly broiled rather than properly marinated and cooked as tandoori chicken should be.
The food looked nothing like what I expected from the restaurant’s posted pictures. Do not rely solely on the images when deciding what to order.
Overall, extremely poor value for the price and a very disappointing meal. I would not order from here again."

"Finally found a favorite Indian restaurant!
I’m really glad I decided to try this place. Everything I ordered was delicious, especially the Lasuni Dal Tadka. I’ve tried quite a few dal tadkas elsewhere, and this is by far the best I’ve had. A lot of the ones I’ve tried at other restaurants have been very thin and watery, but this one had so much more flavor and a nice, hearty texture with the lentils still having some texture. It was also spicy in exactly the way I like it. I would definitely order it again. The only thing I felt was that $17 was a little pricey for the portion size, but it was so delicious that I would still happily order it again.
The spicy naan with green chilies was also really good. It was soft, flavorful, and this was my first time trying spicy naan. I really enjoyed it and would definitely order it again.
I also tried the Masala Chai. It was good, but it had a little too much milk for my taste, and I would have preferred a stronger chai flavor.
Overall, I really enjoyed my meal and would definitely recommend this restaurant. The food was flavorful, the spice level was perfect for me, and I’m happy to have finally found a place I’ll be coming back to try more dishes."
"Everything was very flavorful and well packaged. The Vindaloo was really nice with just a bit of heat (I ordered mild). Next time I might get more adventurous and get it spicier. Their Mango Chutney was awesome and a great accompaniment to the spicy flavors. Even the rice was fresh, well cooked and perfect. Overall it was a great meal."

"The Pani Puri was thoroughly delectable. The pani (tamarind water with boondis) was thick with flavor unlike the usual watered down version I've tasted elsewhere. I wish there were more pooris, though. The potato based filling perfectly balanced out the tangyness of the pani and the meethi (dates) chutney.
My only suggestion would be to include more pooris and accordingly some additional quantity of the potato filling.
PS: No photos because I already finished it all in one go :D"
"The food is always to die for! The Non veg thali / platter gives a lot of variety for an inexpensive price. And theLamb Curry is so tender and delcious. Everything is fresh and so deicious! I can't recommend this place enough. The Samosa rounds off the meal. 😋 It's some of the best Indian food around and if you haven't tried it yet you should."

"This is the only restaurant i have found here that makes Gobi pakora the real way ie large cauliflower florets and the serving size is great. "Everything was delicious and honest. Nothing seemed overly loaded with fat. The 90) Saag Paneer and 81) Chana Masala (ND)(GF) had plenty of spinach, paneer, and chickpea respectively. The naans were good, the 2) Samosas (2 pcs.) Were full and tasty, the rice was light and there was plenty of it. Really lovely meal."

"Ordered delivery, got a Dani Bhalla Chat which was absolutely delicious. Also got garlic naan and an eggplant dish called Baingan Bhartha, which was ok. I should have ordered medium spice. The portions were great... I ate half here at work and put the other half in the fridge to bring home. The rice was nice and fluffy. They didn't provide utensils or napkins, so had to search for some. But all in all I would order from here again. Delivery was only about 2.5 miles from my work place"

"Biryani and fish pakora had good flavor. Fish was tender and succulent. Not at all dry on the inside.

"I'm honestly just trying to leave a review as a reminder to myself to not order from here anymore. with the delivery fee this was $40 but the meat always has big pieces of fat and they're one of those places that serves samosas with an eggy taste and powder on the outside. if im already spending a fortune might as well go to an actual fancy indian place. but it's some people's thing "

"I ordered Butter Chicken without tomatoes or onions and they followed my request. I got stuck at work and picked the food up an hour late but the pizza was still nice and warm and crispy. The pizza dough was so good! I usually don't like thick crust but it was so fluffy and chewy in the right way. A good homemade bread texture like my dad's. Portion was perfect for two meals for me! I also loved that it wasn't heavy or salty, that doesn't mean it was bland, it was perfect. I didn't feel gross after. I think this might be my new work lunch place! Totally recommend. "Very authentic and tasty!"
"not a fan, the food is off. if youve eaten indian food before you know its full of complex flavor. we ordered the Biryani and Khorma, the Biryani was okay but the had a weird hint of sea food for a chicken dish and the Khorma was sooooo sweet it was inedible for me. the Mango Lassi was great tho... we wont be ordering again. we even ordered taste of india 1 after this order to get what we were hoping for."

"The Idli Sambar Chutney is the best I have eaten in Portland area. Really good Dosas and Saturday/Sunday lunch combos.
Pro tip: They also have excellent Dosa batters in the store fridge. They are much better than the ones normally found in order Indian stores. Ask the cashier in the store for assistance in finding them."

"loved that oat milk didn't cost extra! really nice blend of Chai and rose flavor!"
"I know this place is new & it's a neat concept but our first experience was a little awkward. I chose the lowest sugar level which didn't add any sweetness to the drink. There are many levels so not sure which to choose. The "honey bun" (not pictured) was an actual mini hamburger bun. Not a fan @ $6. What is the Rose City Chai? A description would be nice. My chai came in another store's branded cup which was confusing, I thought it was a wrong order or just a weird way to cut corners. The hot chai was good but had an open hole & spilled en route. We would order again, maybe in store for a better experience & to try the traditional clay cups."

"Wow, this is just so, so good every, every time. New, refreshing for PDX, and every dish is very remarkable. Travels well and puts me to sleep even better. "
"Rice was bland, lamb on the dry side. The naan was disgusting and inedible. The pork was really good though. For the price, the portions are way too small and the food was just okay overall. The extra side order of rice for $5 is a joke. What did I just spend $50 on? My order should have been around $25 for what it was. Not worth the money and not so good that the over priced items are worth it anyway. How do you screw up naan bread?"

"Korma is my fav dish of ALL time, and East India continues to have the best korma I ever had. If you like Tikka Masala but are looking for something new to try, I'd recommend the Korma! I personally love to use the Garlic Naan to roll up some curry + basmati rice that is served alongside the curry dish. Indian burrito style af!
Don't forget to add Samosa Chaat and Mango Lassi (milkshake) to your order because they're the perfect combination for your pleasure and taste buds! Nothing is better than flavours and aromas of Indian spices and mango to level off the spice!
If youre looking for something that isn't a curry dish, or you don't know much about Indian food, I'd HIGHLY recommend Hyderabadi Dum Biryani with cilantro! "
"Hands down the BEST Indian food in all of Portland! Great quality, flavours, service, the whole package and more. Never messed up the order, lots of vegetarian/vegan options, lots of variety of curries to choose from. I cant wait to try them all. However my personal favourite is the korma & samosas, as well as the chana pindi. The garlic naans are perfect: not too much, not too little. Everything about East India Co. is absolutely amazing. It's certainly my dad and I's favourite thing to order every time we get to spend a weekend together watching films. "

"I literally cannot get enough of this place. It's embarrassing. But it's THAT good! Everything is perfectly flavored and balanced, not too sweet, and the consistency of the ice cream is on par with what I imagine clouds feel like. It's been my summer indulgence for sure. There isn't a bad flavor, but my go-tos are the Ube and the Black Sesame Oreo. But my honest recommendation? Try ALL. OF. IT!"

"Chicken Makhani Pizza was delicious. It came with 2 sauces a spicy red one and a gren one which is awesome with the pizza. The price wasgood for the size which was enough for a few meals. It was freshly made and the pizza dough was perfect and soft. Highly reccomend giving this flavor infusion a try. Indian Pizza is easily a favorite."
"Palak Paneer Pizza (V) was delicious. The 12" pizza was well cooked, great crust and amazing flavor. Though I'm glad it came with extra sauces in the box as I do prefer a red sauce with my pizzas. This had more of a pesto base, and not as much fresh spinach as I had expected, but at the $15 dollars I paid for I thought the pie was wonderful and plan on trying their other entries for sure."

"Good? Yes. Worth the price? Definitely no. Two scoops of rice and a scoop of chicken that came in a leaking container... The seasoning is good, the flavor is good, but it's more like a side dish of chicken with rice. I'd reprice at $12 to be fair."
"WARNING!!! The Tea Leaf salad is HIGHLY ADDICTIVE! Lol. But seriously, it's the best salad I think I have ever had. Large portion, big enough to share (though I don't ever share mine!). "WOW the taste was beyond what we expected! So flavorful and each curry dish has a distinct taste that we couldn't get enough of. We ordered 3 curries - Lamb, Brisket and Pork and all are beyond a 10 rating - so DELICIOUS! We also ordered the sweet and sour chicken which if you want something fried and not overly breaded and with a lot of flavor then this is it! It is boneless, tender, juicy and the sauce all over it is not over powering but a complimentary to the chicken - recommended to eat it while still warm.
The amount you receive for take out / delivery was more than enough for 2 adults and still have left overs. If you order 1 curry dish for 2 adults then it may not be enough if you are hungry, I would suggest 2 curries or another dish.
The cost based on the amount you receive is fair since the flavor of the curry and the types of meat used in the curry and how the meat is tender & flavorful is better than what I have tasted before in other Thai restaurants.
They put a lot of love in these dishes!
This is TOP QUALITY - I can taste it!
THANK YOU FOR WONDERFUL MEAL!
We will order again."
"Sweet & Sour Fried Chicken and Chopped BBQ Fried Rice were half off and great portion size. Enough for two.
