Both were quite good but I would definitely go for the fried rice over the jasmine next time. There was a nice amount of chicken and the flavor was appealing . I'm not a big sweet hot person, would have liked if they offered a savory hot option for the sauce. That being said the sauce was tasty, just not really my thing. The flavor of the shrimp was impressive even without sauce. The broccoli and edamame were properly prepared with a filling serving size.
My one criticism would be that there were approximately 6-8 shrimp in one (a nice serving, they’re not overly big) and only 3 in the other box."

Everything tasted fresh, the flavors were on point, and you can tell they actually care about the quality of what they’re serving. The sushi was excellent, the ramen was comforting and packed with flavor, and nothing felt rushed or thrown together.
What really made the experience stand out was the combination of great food and a welcoming atmosphere. It’s the kind of place that works just as well for a casual lunch as it does for dinner when you want something you know is going to hit the spot.
If you’re in Boise and you love sushi or ramen, put Island Sushi & Ramen on your list. I’d recommend it without hesitation. It's even the first place I take family when they visit."
"I spent about $15 less than other restaurants and got more food. I like the selection. Steak Hibachi was overcooked (think very well done, then cooked longer in vegetable broth). Fried rice was really fried. A bit dry. It is a Friday night, so it could have been a busy, off night. Maki Combo A was a nice sushi meal.
I'd order from them again, definitely for sushi. If I ordered the Hibachi again I'd be sure to request it be cooked rare with the transportation in the broth, or maybe ask them not to mix the steak in the veggies and broth. Probably go with steamed rice instead.

"Wow, everything was so good! The sushi was delicious but the presentation was a little sloppy. Of coure they could have gotten jostled on the drive over. They put the Dumpling Soup (which was SO good) on top of the sushi, which made the sushi a little warm. I'd like to see them put a barrier between the items, maybe a piece of cardboard. The soup had the freshest vegetables I've ever had! There was a lot and they stayed crunchy. The dumplings had the perfect amount of spice. I very much recommend them. :)

"Everything was well packaged with care and consideration which I appreciate a lot. I should have taken a picture but forgot. Noodles + meat were in one container and broth in another separate container. Bag with lime, basil, cilantro, sprouts. Difficult to tell size in picture but I got a medium which was the perfect size. I also got the Matcha Lava Cake which had the cake in one container and ice cream in another which let me separately put in freezer until after I ate the pho. Microwaved cake for 30 seconds and kind of exploded which is why the picture looks like that lol so maybe do 15-20 instead. Coconut ice cream was so good on its own too, wish I could buy a pint. Would get again and thank you to the restaurant for having well packaged to go items. "
