"The portion size for the beef pho was amazing, really good amount of beef compared to other pho places. The extra side of beef is a generous portion as well for the price. "I was really excited to try this place, but I will not be ordering again and likely wont eat in either. Ordered Build Your Own Pho and it was not good. Immediately there was a funky smell upon opening it. The broth was incredibly bland and they didn't include onion (which is a pho standard). The order was also very small. I would say half the size of regular order a most Pho places. Only 3 pieces of beef too. The Shrimp Summer Rolls were also very skinny and tough, and the sauce to accompany was like sludge and not a good flavor - couldn't taste peanut or plum sauce at all."

Since it was our first time, we didn't know what each spice level meant, and I had to guess based on the 4 options listed.

"We order from Brown Sugar about once a month, and usually have no complaints. Their food is better than almost any other Asian food in the west side suburbs! As usual, the Mango Bubble Tea was delicious, as were the Siam Rolls !
I'm unsure whether they were just really busy tonight or what, but the food wasnt as good as we've previously experienced. The Orange Chicken had many overdone pieces which resembled stringy, tough jerky as well as several clumps of fried breading without any chicken at all. The Basil Fried Rice was also overdone, with crunchy, charred pieces of rice which was also dry.
As I said before, we order from here often, and usually the same food, so I'm guessing it was an off night (hence the 4 stars instead of 5), but my family was definitely disappointed."

However, the Matcha-misu doesn't have the same texture or consistency as traditional tiramisu. There isn't a strong matcha flavor and it's very thick but not in a creamy, custard way. It made me feel like I'm eating just a block of cream cheese instead of a more silky mascarpone cheese/heavy cream mixture. I probably wouldn't order this again, but if it sounds appealing to you then I recommend it.
The Thai Tea was delightful. I love a strong, flavorful tea and this checks all of the boxes. The tapioca pearls are perfectly chewy and hold the flavor of the tea well. I would drink this everyday if my bank account allowed it."
