"wow. CHICKEN BENTO was just amazing. If I had anything to say, it would be that the rice was a little too watery in some parts. Gyoza was crispy, sushi was amazing, and sauces were flavorful. Chicken was tender and juicy, vegetables tasted fresh and were a great pair with the chicken. SHRIMP TEMPURA was... well it tastes fine. Koromo never got soggy and shrimp was very soft, but the price for 3 is a bit bad (5.39). Taste was impeccable though.
About authenticity? as authentic as it can be - not quite there, some 'less authentic' parts (california rolls, sauce), but chicken and gyoza and tempura were all as authentic as they could be, thought it didn't give me that feeling which is hard to explain. "I had the beef and shrimp teriyaki, which I have ordered before and really liked. This time, however, I was extremely disappointed. For one thing, there was more rice than anything. And the overall flavor was flat. I'm not a cook, so I can't tell you what was missing, but it just had very little flavor. What's more, the beef literally had grease on it. Super disappointing considering how expensive food is these days.

"First of all, our order came late because the restaurant took a long time to make the food. Daegu Maeun Tang / 대구매운탕 and Yukgae Jang / 육계장 were very bland. The meat in the Yukgae Jang / 육계장 is not the kind of meat you put in this soup. The Tonkatsu was very little for the price.

I’ve also ordered the loco moco on two separate occasions. The first time, the eggs were so overcooked that the edges were burnt to a crisp. The second time, I thought ordering scrambled eggs might solve the overcooking issue. Instead, the scrambled eggs were covered in black, charred pieces and dark brown oil. It was honestly gross.
My most recent order was over $80, including the musubi trio and two loco mocos with extra patties. Most of it ended up in the trash because I couldn’t bring myself to eat food prepared like that.
I really wanted this location to succeed and have continued giving it chances because I’ve enjoyed L&L elsewhere. Unfortunately, the quality here has not been reflective of the L&L locations I’ve experienced in Hawai‘i or California.
