"The fried rice isn’t bad, but it’s definitely not worth the price. The portion of rice itself was decent, but for what I paid, I expected a lot more substance than just rice and probably less than a quarter cup of protein.
Flavor-wise, it’s on the saltier side. The protein was chicken breast, which I think was velveted to retain its moisture. The rice has a good texture.. neither too dry nor too wet, but there are no vegetables at all, just rice, chicken, soy sauce, black pepper, and maybe a hint of garlic. A little sugar could help balance out the saltiness.
It seems like most of the color and flavor are coming straight from soy sauce, so maybe using black soy sauce instead could deepen the color without making it overly salty. Adding a bit of chicken bouillon could also enhance the flavor profile. Some vegetables or more protein would help make it feel more complete, especially at this price point.
Overall, it’s okay fried rice, but for the cost, it just doesn’t feel like a good value."
