"We tried this restaurant on DoorDash for the first time, I'm sorry we didn't know about it earlier. The pizza was so tasty, they family loved it! We got sausage/pepper/mushroom toppings.  The pesto pasta was also very flavorful. The bruschetta was so good, I could tell they use ripened tomatoes and quality balsamic. I opened some red wine and it was a wonderful home Italian experience! We will be returning soon!  "
"Thought I'd try something different. The decent sized portion matched it's sale price. To be honest, I'm not big on Italian herbs especially basil. saw no mention of it, so took the chance. Ate less than half. I was hungry. The bread was dry with nothing on it, but ate it to get the herb taste out of my mouth. The pasta was cooked right at least. Had nice chunks of sausage and mushrooms. Just didn't care for the sauce. If there was Vodka in there....could have used more. lol"

"One evening, I had a huge craving for rigatoni. It's funny that I accidentally ordered food from this restaurant. Thought I was ordering from BJ'S restaurant chain. The mistake was a great one, though. Was pleasantly surprised that the rigatoni with marinara sauce was just like I made at home! Great flavor, just spicy enough. "First time trying Sals, I like the NY theme and they get points for having Black and white cookies but for the price the pizza was not good enough even from a Southern California perspective ( not known for our pizza, good spots aren't that common). I'd give it a pass if it wasn't pushing the NY presentation but because it is I have to judge accordingly. My Dads side of the family is from Bronx/yonkers so I grew up visiting there and Jersey and also scouting out the good local places in SD and OC. The biggest issue was the crust, I ordered well done and got undercooked floppy pizza, crust didn't have much of a taste either. Wasn't much sauce on it so didn't really notice what it tasted like it was so subtle. Cheese was good quality though and tasty. "

"My Giovanni Regular pasta I get with GF pasta was delicious. It always is, but the Grilled Chicken Strawberry Salad was less than perfect. It's really a hit or a miss. I'm not sure if it's because they get busy or if there's a chef or two that rushes or doesn't know how to cook, idk. Not sure why some days it tastes amazing and others it doesn't. Tonight, the strawberries were sour. They were so bad I spit them out. They weren't sweet at all and had several brown spots. The container was overflowing with lettuce and it didn't even look that fresh. I found wilted pieces in there. The chicken was actually edible but is was almost as if they put the chicken on an unclean grill. Had a lot of soot on the chicken. And lastly it was like they threw in a handful of pecans and some goat cheese and slapped on some avocado and said "Well gee this look decent". Kind of disappointed me. I hope they can check their salads for consistency in the future. It's a shame cause I feel like I wasted some money. At least if I'm hungry I got some more pasta to eat. Definitely go for the pasta. Find a different place if you're craving a salad."
