"I ordered the Full Breakfast and I have to be honest there was little to no flavor. The eggs taste like the McDonald's ones, no seasoning, no salt, nothing. The sausages had a peculiar taste, they had almost a dish soapy flavor to it, I've never tasted sausage links like that before. The tater tots also didn't have much flavor, if I didn't know what tater tots looked or taste like I wouldn't know what I was eating. They weren't crispy and like they were too starchy because they would become sorta pasty in my mouth. The only good thing I can say was that the bacon was absolutely delicious though the price for the extra 2 slices of bacon in my opinion is overpriced. I payed almost 4$ for 2 pieces of bacon. And the waffles were also very delicious. Has a yummy vanilla sweet taste, fluffy and buttery. Would I order from here again? No."

Lake Wales Cheese Shoppe & Deli is one of those places that makes you glad small-town businesses still exist. It’s the kind of place where people know their products, take pride in their work, and genuinely care about serving good food to their community.
I ordered the Mushroom Swiss Roast Beef Melt on Tuscan White bread, and it was fantastic. The roast beef was tender, the mushrooms were plentiful, and the Swiss cheese was melted perfectly throughout the sandwich. The bread was grilled just right—crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Every bite was hot, fresh, and packed with flavor.
I also grabbed a bag of Sea Salt & Vinegar chips, which paired perfectly with the sandwich.
What really impressed me was the attention to detail. My order was carefully wrapped, clearly labeled, and sealed for takeout. You can tell they care about quality and consistency. The meats and cheeses taste fresh, and nothing feels rushed or thrown together.
If you’re anywhere near Lake Wales, do yourself a favor and stop in for lunch. We have enough chain restaurants. Places like this are what make a community special. The food is better, the service is personal, and your dollars stay local. I’d much rather support a business that takes this much pride in what they do, and I’ll definitely be back.
