"Plátano frito as dessert. Not what I expected or thought. Impressed and reminded how something simple is tastier than something complex. Kudos to y'all, I was reminded of my childhood.
Chilaquiles with steak. Steak was very good, salsa verde was very flavorful, no where near as spicy as I'd hope but still tasty. Chilaquiles are meant to be crunchy even when after drenched in salsa by a reasonable margin, I'm not sure why, but they were more soggy than I expected even from a delivery take out.
The huarache base was made by hand as described, they did unfortunately skimped out on the quantity of pastor on it, but not by a lot. Maybe it's their style here? Could use a bit of balancing, does not feel like much of an in house seasoning (pastor), but I could be wrong. I still ate all of it. No food should be wasted.
Horchata and Jamaica water (at least this batch) were very well balanced not overly sweet that gives that weird aftertaste.
This review is done by a Mexican who was actually born and raised there, I'm a modest food connoisseur & critic as well. (Just not profoundly professional)

"Let me start by saying I love the food at The Halal Guys so much that I ate there pretty much 4/4 nights a week for a year straight after work before trimming it back. I've never done that with any other restaurant. The gentleman I spoke to leaving the restaurant the other night said he drove 40 minutes to come enjoy the food.
All of the food is very fresh. They are always cooking fresh chicken and beef. All the veggies are a great addition to the platter along with the fresh rice that is always being replenished. The hummus is very good and when you add the chili based hot sauce and mix it up, it's heaven. For those who can't handle the heat, there's their very popular "white sauce". King of Prussia is always very busy.
Please do not let "Bobby Bobby" deter you from going to The Halal guys. He clearly doesn't understand the restaurant business......no crime. Look at his bowl. It has chicken and rice ONLY. Evidently he thinks since he is afraid of eating veggies that the rest of his bowl should be filled with extra meat. Sorry Bobby Bobby; that is not how any restaurant works. This place gives a ton of food. I rarely finish my small bowl and have never ordered a large one.
In this business you could have the best product and location but take away top notch customer service and a highly dedicated GM/owner and get ready for your "Grand Closing".
Caesar has been the GM at KOP for years now and I've never seen him have a bad day. He always has a smile on his face and treats all of his customers with the utmost respect. Without the rice, the portions were not filling. The chicken was cut into cubes almost the size of a quarter; tender but fatty. A tablespoon of corn salsa, but enough pickled onions for three dishes. Beans were tender and creamy.
If you can look past the negatives, the food tasted good. If this is the quality I should expect, I will not order again."
