"With a place named Breaking Batter, you would expect their cake batter to be a real stand out. Unfortunately, that isn't the case here. The cake was exceptionally dry. Now, I'd be willing to assume that this was a one-time overcooked issue for all 4 of the items we ordered, but even if that is the case, the cake flavors are absolutely nothing to write home about. They taste and look like someone made some cheap boxed cake mix. The strawberry cake is bright pink, but the flavor doesn't match the vibrancy. The favor is very artificial. The same is true of the vanilla cake. Given the cake is at the bottom under everything else, it means your final impression of the dessert is ruined by the carelessly made cake. Not everything is bad, though. The toppings we tried were all really good and not very sweet. We didn't have any of the cereal toppings. The strawberry syrup was probably the stand out topping. It tastes like real strawberries and isn't cloyingly sweet. The jars are real glass, so you can cut off the plastic Breaking Batter label and reuse them. I'm happy they didn't use plastic jar bodies. Overall, for the cost, this isn't worth your time. I sincerely wish I could say otherwise."

So glad Yu Noodles opened near me."
