The first sip of that broth made every other meal I’ve ever eaten immediately lose all credibility. Birthdays, holidays, expensive restaurants, family recipes, every single one of them got demoted to “pretty decent.” The broth tasted like it had been simmering continuously since the beginning of human civilization under the protection of a council of grandmothers who would rather fight a bear than share the recipe. The chicken was so unbelievably tender I genuinely started wondering if I’d been chewing food incorrectly my entire life.
