The one suggestion I have would be to bring back an option to sub shredded parm for grated - I would happily pay a bit more to be able to do this without having to call and ask to sub. "Firehouse subs are superior to every other version of this type of sandwich that I've personally experienced. I'm not claiming to be some kind of expert, but given the limited range of sub joints in my general area Firehouse is better. I don't mean by a little bit, I mean they are WAY better.
It's the texture. The balance of sauce and solid ingredients as well as the bread softness. It made me realize that every other sub I've eaten has usually been a dry laborious process of choking down a thick slab of tough bread with stuff inside. Sure it can still be good flavor-wise but the bread is usually overpowering. Not so with these. Juicy without being soggy.
How brand S manages to keep the doors open is beyond me. Maybe brand C is a more worthy opponent but like I said I'm not a well versed foodie or anything. Brand F gets an A+ from me."
