I’ve tried several restaurants for their Menudo; 1) Sarita’s Mexican grill, Monterey {$15.99}, comes with small cut up pieces of meat, tripe, Hominy and spices with cilantro 🌿, diced onions, oregano, and crushed red chili 🌶️ peppers. Served in a styrofoam container with tortillas for a side. Tasted okay but nothing that you’d be excited about. 2) Taqueria Zarape, Seaside {$15.25} comes in a large plastic container which is always filled up with the BEST TASTING, FLAVORED, FRESHNESS pieces of meat and tripe🥇😋😘 which are big. The juice / sauce is really flavored and give you Cilantro, diced onions, oregano, and crushed red chili 🌶️ peppers with Tortilla on the side. It’s so good always looking forward to weekend to re order again and again. BEST VALUE 🤑 3) Mexico Maxico, Salinas~ Salas {$22.76} comes in a paper container filled up but very oily juice. Very little meat and/or tripe. The Spanish rice was very odd taste and tastes like they used cilantro. Overall I didn’t enjoy the menudo from Mexico Maxico and would not order from here again. In addition to ordering the Menudo {Weekend only} I ordered the Aguas Fresca 24 oz. bottled Horchata {$5.99}, Ensalada Papa {$5.99}, and Flour Chicharron Pinwheels 4 oz {$3.69}. Arrived lukewarm , it did come with onions, cilantro, crushed chile pepper. Very little amount of meat and/or tripe. Not very flavorful, I wouldn’t order the menudo from here.Looking for good menudo?
