I get the special of Sweet and Sour Chicken with Fried Rice; Wonton Soup; huge container of brewed Chinese Iced Tea (tastes like Jasmine); and just add Vegetable Egg Rolls for a small fee. Everything is delicious and hot when arrived. The store is spotlessly clean and the staff friendly when I decide not to use Door Dash and go to the store. I have never had a bad meal or complaint just praise about the food and service. My meal arrived from Door Dash in less than 30 minutes!! Amazing in itself where you can wait longer for a delivery. And the egg roll had a weird mushy quality to it that other places don't have. Kinda unfortunate. I used to like this place a lot, but the past couple of orders have been subpar. Like buffet offerings at best, not a fresh individually made dish. Cannot recommend."

"I was disappointed with my order. The photo made the teriyaki chicken appear to be sautéed chicken pieces, but what I received was thin, heavily breaded, crispy chicken with very little actual meat inside. It mostly tasted like crispy breading rather than chicken.
The lo mein noodles were also very bland and lacked flavor. Unfortunately, the orange chicken had a smell that made me feel nauseous, and after taking a bite, I noticed parts of the chicken were undercooked with soft, starchy spots in the breading.
Considering the price, the portion size was also much smaller than expected. Overall, the meal did not match the quality or presentation that was advertised, and I was very disappointed with the experience."

"My food arrived piping hot and incredibly fast, about 25 mins. the 128. General Tso's Shrimp Special was literally perfect. they don't use that weird mushy batter that many Chinese places use on their shrimp that just soak up the sauce and get soggy and then slough off in the sauce. This was perfectly fried shrimp that stayed semi crisp the entire time. the vegetables in the sauce were onion, zucchini, baby corn, green pepper, broccoli and mushroom, all cooked absolutely perfectly. My one and only issue is that I chose hot and spicy it really wasn't at all. I would have loved it to be spicier, but it was so delicious I didn't really mind. I also got the C6. Shrimp Lo Mein Combination Plate and it was loaded with tender shrimps, cabbage and veggies. The fried rice is very tasty with a decent amount of pork in it. the 2. "We are from Georgia and moved to Pittsburgh about a year ago and have been in search of good *American* style Chinese food since. Pittsburgh definitely has a lot of great options for authentic Chinese cuisine, but this place is the only one that does Americanized Chinese food the right way! (They also have authentic Sichuan as well, so there's really something for everyone.)
Everything was SO good and the portions were HUGE. The SP6. Black Pepper Chicken was absolutely delightful. It's my favorite dish and a lot of places make it spicy for some reason, but How Lee did it perfectly! Also the A5. Crab Rangoon (8 pieces) was literally perfect. This has prob been the hardest dish to find here. Idk why so many places here do cream cheese only crab Rangoon, but How Lee had the perfect sweet cream cheese mixture.
My husband got the Tiger Skin Peppers and he said they were impeccable. They were huge and it came with so many! Our kid got C1. Sweet and Sour Chicken and it was exactly what you expect when you order S&S chicken.
After trying 10+ different Chinese restaurants, How Lee is now our go to spot when we get a hankering for Chinese!"

"The Chicken Teriyaki On the Stick, was a hit for the toddler, the C21. Sesame Chicken was still very hot in the container after not being touched for 30+ minutes, it's very flavorful and had nice cuts of meat. I did think there would be more rice but there is plenty. They did not even include packets of soy sauce or mustard to try and make it edible. but they did give us 2 packets of duck sauce that I am assuming that were for our eggrolls that was dripping of grease.
