"I'm Nigerian and definitely was excited to try some food from home. The ayamashe was better than I was expected, good amount of diverse protein in it and well worth the $20. I just wish it was a little bit more spicy and some more sauce and the rice a bit undercooked. The meat pie and dodo, for their serving size, was too expensive. One plantain is like less than $2 so for 6 pieces of fried plantain to be $5 .... and the meat pie filling wasn't a lot and a bit dry. The zobo drink was nice and not too sweet (more sorrel vibes with the definite ginger taste than sweet Nigerian zobo).
Really good overall, got a taste of home and would def reorder the ayamase and will try one of the soups next."

"I would not recommend this place for value or comforting flavor. I got the 2 Tacos Meal which was $16. That's $16 for two tacos and some beans and rice. It's extra to pick meat for the 2 Tacos Meal, so I tried the frijolitos negros y mushrooms al pastor. The frijolitos were OK, nothing special but nothing bad. The mushrooms seemed to be whole canned mushroom slices marinated with some kind of slimy onion slices. The rice was also weird. I liked the whole peas and carrot cubes, but the rice had a strong Worcestershire flavor, not something I would've expected. Worse, it was served in a pre-portioned plastic tray with small wells for the rice and beans, which means you get less than the customary 4 oz. side portion of each. I would not pickup or order from this place again, especially with all the better options in the area."

"Papdi chaat was extremely disappointing. For $10, I expected more than 1/2 tablespoon of potatoes and 1/2 tablespoon of chickpeas. Basically I got a $10 box of papdi (crackers) with some chutneys. This has not matched my past experiences with this restaurant.
Gobi manchurian was tasty, price was excessive for the amount (received more papdi than gobi manchurian and paid more for the gobi).
Family pack of samosas was fantastic, as always. These are a family favorite.
Idly Sambhar remains some of the best I've had. This is a comfort food for me.
Overall--I expected some increase in prices due to inflation. I did not expect the quantity cuts received with the increased prices. Food quality remains exceptional. Be mindful in ordering, some items are not a good value. Overall half of my order was a good value. The rest was an expensive lesson.
