"Our meal was very disappointing, especially for the price. I ordered the vegetarian fried rice, which in the online description says it has tofu, mushrooms, carrots, peas, and assorted vegetables. I also paid extra for extra vegetables. What I got, for $20, was a sad pile of rice with a smattering of peas and carrots. No tofu, no mushrooms, no extra vegetables, no real flavor. Called the restaurant and was told, oh, the online description isn't the same as in the restaurant. I'll see what we can do about that. Ummm, what? You are falsely advertising your food. Not cool. Combo pad thai, our other dish, was overcooked, undersauced, and had very little actual beef/shrimp/chicken. Overall, a complete waste of $50. Will not order again, and suggest you don't order, either."

"Excellent flavor and portions. The Teriyaki chicken was exceptional and must have been around 4 thighs. The Bangkok Street Noodles were delicious with genuine crispy tofu (unlike other restaurants that serve congealed whale snot in place of "crispy" tofu. The Cheesy Wontons actually tasted of crab and were fried to perfection as were the Chicken Potstickers.
I honestly cant believe we havent eaten here before, but im glad that we did and look forward to trying more of the menu.

"I've never felt the need to leave a bad review for a restaurant but food I received was egregious. The peanut sauce for my salad rolls did not have the lid on and spilled all over (the sauce itself was incredibly watery and hardly had any peanut flavor). The pad Thai was a joke. In no universe would this pass for pad Thai; they tasted almost cheesy with a hint of fish sauce and had the most random assortment of overcooked vegetables (celery and mushrooms??). Do NOT waste your money here"

"This is the best pad Thai in Salem. I've literally tried it all. It always arrives pipping hot and the ingredients always taste fresh. Some places on doordash dont even let you choose your spice level, which should be a crime. I love spicy food and have a high tolerance. I always add 3 or 4 stars for spice and it clears the sinuses--Thai Cuisine of Salem doesn't mess around when it comes to giving their food that extra kick. They don't overdo it with the sweet flavoring--it's the perfect blend of sweet, savory and heat. I'm drooling just talking about it. I usually get beef for my protein and it's always perfectly cooked and seasoned--nice and tender.
I know they're expensive. I promise it's worth it. I'm always disappointed when I order Pad Thai anywhere else and always regret not ordering from Thai Cuisine of Salem. They hook you up with a generous portion.

Unfortunately, the container for the "large" seaweed salad was more than half filled with arugula. Once you subtracted the lettuce, the actual salad portion was very small to pay $8.00 for. I'm not sure if this is the way the restaurant always serves it, or just a delivery thing. If I had been dining in at the restaurant, I would have sent it back. I got the avocado cucumber roll, and they put the same solid effort into their veggie rolls as their traditional sushi. My kids loved the chicken katsu plate, and there was plenty of rice without having to order extra. They give you a very decent portion of wasabi and ginger, I ordered extra but did not need it. "When this was still Hong Kong House it was my go to Chinese place in salem. i figured I'd try the new owners out and see if it stayed similar. It did not. Major downgrade in the food quality. We got the Bo Bo Platter 宝宝盆 and Mandarin Dinner . The crab rangoon taste like straight sweet cream cheese. no imitation crab in site. the veggie egg rolls were battered but under fried and tasted like literal nothing. the sweet n sour sauce and yellow mustard both tasted off, almost chemically. A lot was wrong for how expensive chinese food is. There are positives though, all the mains were pretty decent. The beef was the best part tender well seasoned. The Kung pao shrimp were cooked well but were not spicy at all, the fried shrimp were not great, those tasted a lil too fishy so we didn't finish them. Not the worst in town, but will not be back most likely."
