"I've never eaten here before, but I wanted a good sandwich. I tried the Hot Mess Melt combo and it was amazing. There was plenty of roast beef and it was tender and the caramelized onions on top were cooked perfectly. The only thing that would've made it better is if I've eaten it at the store. With delivery the sourdough bread got soggy, but no fault of theirs. I also ordered a side of onion rings, which were delicious and topped it off with raspberry iced tea so good. "It's good - I wouldn't say it blew my hair back, but I was in the mood for a gyro & some baklava. The baklava has a great flavor & texture, but it's a tiny 2x2in square for $5. Also, the gyro looks bigger than it actually is because the filling overflows from the front & then the pita in the back is empty. So, it's pretty tasty, but for $15 - a small side option with it would have made more sense for the price. The veggie toppings (lettuce, onion, tomato) were lacking. Would've liked the veggies to have been more present. It's a meat & sauce forward gyro. I requested no feta, so a reasonable amount of veggie toppings would have been appreciated.
One last critique - no napkins or cutlery were provided even though it said they would be. That was a bummer.

The fried ice cream was so fun and yummy, in the cinnamon sugar taco shell covered in a corn flake topping and comes with a chocolate and a strawberry sauce on the side to drizzle over. I wasn't a fan of the strawberry sauce - it tasted like boiled/cooked strawberries, which is not my thing - but to each their own.
This time there was one issue with the order. Last time I got 2 enchiladas, but this time I got the tostada and enchilada combo, and specified cheese since I am Vegetarian. I received a cheese enchilada but a chicken tostada. I think the tostada maybe doesn't come in cheese? But just FYI when ordering."

The Lengua taco came with many sides like a roasted chili and onion, I wasn't expecting that! The lengua was just slightly disappointing, it just wasn't as tender as lengua usually is but the taco was still VERY enjoyable and easily a 5 star meal!

It is interesting as we've noticed that DoorDash delivers from this location, however if we order from Juan Colorado via some of the "other popular delivery services", we receive food from the location in Beaverton off of Murray Rd & Scholls Ferry Rd/210. While we regularly frequented the Murray location when we lived in Beaverton, from a delivery perspective I don't think the food has been as good:(
Since we're creatures of habit, we typically order one of the same four to six items (the Flautas appetizer, the Albondigas soup, the Expresso Burrito and the Fajitas). We feel that the Wilsonville location is far better. It isn't temperature related as both locations deliver hot, it's HOW they each make their dishes!
A good example is the Albondigas Soup (I am obssssed with this soup)! The portion from the BV location isn't as tasty and I think they add some type of rice or soft white ingredient with less meatballs whereas the serving from WV tends to be a rich and flavorful broth, lots of meatballs and a good helping of the marinated potatoes, zucchini and carrots!! Add extra cilantro and this soup is heaven (especially when it is cold outside)!
Our only objection to Juan Colorado now (and I'm assuming it is due to inflated ingredient cost across the menu), is that "in-house", you receive one complimentary bowl of chips. A second bowl is an extra $4 where it used to be, at every Mexican restaurant), free! When you order delivery, a paper bag of chips with dinner is $12 at every location!!
The service at both locations is always friendly and welcoming and the whole staff works very hard!
Delivery is very fast!
I would still dine here over some other alternatives!
