Sushi Rolls
The rice used for the sushi rolls was extremely sticky. They must've had too much water when cooking rice. The crunchy tempura flakes were still soggy and oily. They need to be dried, so it's more crispy. With the heavily sticky rice and oily/soggy tempura flakes made the rolls just unpleasant and very soggy.
Shrimp & Chicken Hibachi
The chicken was very bland, flavorless, and extremely dry. First time I've seen and tasted a hibachi dish so oily. So much that it made the (underneath) rice drenched in oil.
As a former assistant sushi chef where rice prep was one of my main daily duties and specializing in sushi rolls, the rice needs a lot of work if that's their normal.
This was my first time trying here. Sorry but not a place I would ever try again."

"Quality is nowhere close to back in the day. I tried them on a whim after about 8 yrs and was pretty disappointed. The fried rice barely had anything in it - 1/2 cup had 2 peas and 1 piece of egg. The "candied walnut" shrimp just had normal walnuts, they weren't candied and only had enough sauce to coat half of it. It wasn't super crispy either. The green beans were bland, I tasted no salt. The massaman and lettuce wraps also had almost no salt, I had to heavily dress it up and then it was OK. The goji berry soup was good although almost entirely noodles. And the crab ragoons were good.

"BRING YOUR OWN WHITE SAUCE!! I very rarely write reviews for restaurants let alone a bad review but this new Japan steakhouse is really not it.The chicken is decent but the steak is cut so thin it’s impossible for it to hold any moisture it is very dry. The portions are great tons of meat way more than I’m used to from a restaurant like this.My biggest issue is the incredibly watered down white sauce/ shrimp sauce it is so watered down there is no flavor at all it’s like drinking water and Someone whispered in your ear “shrimp sauce” let alone the fact it was all watered down they only give you half a tiny ramekin of the sauce I even ordered extra. The prices and portion is great but they definitely cut the quality it’s a mixxed review from me."
