I’ve tried several restaurants for their Menudo; 1) Sarita’s Mexican grill, Monterey {$15.99}, comes with small cut up pieces of meat, tripe, Hominy and spices with cilantro 🌿, diced onions, oregano, and crushed red chili 🌶️ peppers. Served in a styrofoam container with tortillas for a side. Tasted okay but nothing that you’d be excited about. 2) Taqueria Zarape, Seaside {$15.25} comes in a large plastic container which is always filled up with the BEST TASTING, FLAVORED, FRESHNESS pieces of meat and tripe🥇😋😘 which are big. The juice / sauce is really flavored and give you Cilantro, diced onions, oregano, and crushed red chili 🌶️ peppers with Tortilla on the side. It’s so good always looking forward to weekend to re order again and again. BEST VALUE 🤑 3) Mexico Maxico, Salinas~ Salas {$22.76} comes in a paper container filled up but very oily juice. Very little meat and/or tripe. The Spanish rice was very odd taste and tastes like they used cilantro. Overall I didn’t enjoy the menudo from Mexico Maxico and would not order from here again. In addition to ordering the Menudo {Weekend only} I ordered the Aguas Fresca 24 oz. bottled Horchata {$5.99}, Ensalada Papa {$5.99}, and Flour Chicharron Pinwheels 4 oz {$3.69}. Definitely cheaper for the Menudo than Mexico Maxico {$22.76} which is very oily.

Orders from this place Arrived I’ve experienced the food being good and bad depending on who prepares it. I never been , to this place but I believe it’s a grocery store that sells different prepared dishes🤔. The Menudo was not in a 24 oz container as stated on the menu. Arrived lukewarm , it did come with onions, cilantro, crushed chile pepper. Very little amount of meat and/or tripe. Not very flavorful, I wouldn’t order the menudo from here.Looking for good menudo? Order from Taqueria Zarape, it’s worth waiting for the delivery. The Agua Fresca was delicious nice and sweet. Potato salad was good with nice chunks of diced potatoes. Order arrived, The Horchata,sweet Mexican rice drink flavored with cinnamon and vanilla , creamy and cold comes in a tall plastic cup filled with great sweet flavor🥛. After drinking 1/2, I add Coca Cola to the Horchata and mix and you get a foam, creamsicle drink with a cola cinnamon flavor mix🧋I call this drink “Sucio Horchata” and once you’ve tried it……you won’t drink a Horchata any other way “It’s the Bomb 💣! The only problem with this drink is when I’m done and the cup is empty 😋. Since discovering this restaurant on 6/17/26 I’ve ALWAYS had great tasting dishes every time I’ve ordered. The Shrimp & Octopus cocktail came in a 24 Oz. Plastic container filled with delicious Fresh cooked BIG pieces of Shrimp, chopped up pieces of Octopus in a cocktail sauce with FRESH sliced avocado, diced onions, diced cucumber making the dish so flavorful and tasty😋. By the time you get the bottom of the container, you still have so much more Shrimp & Octopus on the bottom still to try and finish.
Just like the Horchata, I added Coca Cola to the cocktail sauce giving it a vey good swieet and tangy taste😋😋😋😋😋.
